Not bad stats if you ask me...
That is a big If[Staying healthy!] That is why I backed him up with Foster! Pluse I picked him up[Foster] late in draft in another league because I had that feeling Davis wouldn't make it all season! So can you say trade?

I have a quick question, I had Davis in my work league, and I was lucky that Foster was still available so I picked him up. My question is this, it is a 2 rb league, and my 1st starter is Portis and my second is either going to be Foster or Cris Brown, which one will have the better day tomorrow?

Hey guys, if you're going to rip Davis for being 'injury prone' let's not overlook the fact that Portis has missed a few starts in his young career due to injuries, and chances are he probably won't make all 16 starts this year.

Is there a back in the league that starts all 16 games every year??

Injuries are part of the game, especially for RB's and especially for guys like Davis who's playing style involves a lot of contact.

Redskins8588, i'd vote to start foster... colts D isn't great, but the KC D doesn't even know how to tackle... talent wise i don't think they're really THAT far apart... brown also got removed last game due to injury, so he may not be 100% right now.

Well "fragile" Fred Taylor has started all 16 games the last 2 years. And Shaun Alexander has played in all 16 games each year since 2000....let's hope for my fantasy football team's sake that streak continues

since 2000 davis has 31 rushing tds to 17 fumbles while holmes has 61 rushing tds to 8 fumbles. in that time frame he has 99 receptions for 841 yards and holmes has 240 receptions for 2,195 yards. davis was used badly by spurrier but holmes wasn't even the starter in 2000 and yet he has incredibly superior numbers to davis. I can't argue with his production when he has a run minded coach and a good o-line, but there's no way anyone should, and I'm not saying anyone here has, even consider davis as one of the elite rbs. I know I can't be the only one who worried the last couple years he was with the team if he was gonna get hurt or screw up at the worst possible time in the game.

true very few rbs start every game every year(which makes it hard to understand why brett favre gets so much accolade for his consecutive start streak(192 i believe, playoffs excluded) and not eddie george(129 games po's excluded) who got pounded roughly 20 more times a game than favre.)

but I'd rather have a rb having to sit out because of a bruised sternum rather than nagging or reoccuring leg injuries.

its cause favre can still play, george is 2nd string at the very best... george is durable in that he shows up able to play, but his skills have left him and he's not able to play very well... favre also has 4 more years on him (i think everyone here knows RBs get spent quickly in the nfl, and the accolades go to the stat leader regardless of position or situation... like QC racking up yards against KC, or bruce smith forcing the sack record a million years after reggie had already left the league)...

Yeah that's the difference right there, Favre is still one of the top players at his position. George is a shadow of his former self.
