NFL Network: Bears' Briggs, 31st Pick for Skins' 6th Pick?
no link to this story but on the nfl network on the scroll on the bottom of the screen for the bears they are saying they are considering trading briggs and the 31st overall in the first round for the skins 6th pick in the first round.

Re: Nfl Network On Briggs And Skins
If true, we would be getting bent over.

Re: Nfl Network On Briggs And Skins
How would we be getting bent over by receiving a two time pro-bowler and a playmaking linebacker for 26 spots in the draft?
Who's to say we wouldn't still get one of the D-lineman that we are looking at with the 31st pick? What if Washington is more hurt than they are letting on? |

Have we heard much about Washingtons recovery? IMO the 6th pick in this draft is not going to get us a player of Briggs' quality. He would start straight away, making an immediate impact and we already know how good he is. Could there also be a chance of trading Marshall for a 4th or 5th round pick? Seems we'd cut him anyway, why not try for another pick. That said, our needs are clearly D-Line. I am on the (d)fence on this trade, there are good points and bad points, i think it would all depend on what we can get for Marshall and who we took with the 31st.

They need Marshall. He is insurance on the inside and outside. Also, he will see some decent playing time even though he may not start. |

Do you think that anyone would want to trade for him? If so, what is he worth? He can play several positions and would be a good additon to alot of teams.

If we go ahead with this trade, I guess we've already given up on Rocky (and the 2 2nd rounder we used to get him).

Re: Nfl Network On Briggs And Skins
I think this would be a horrible deal for us. Ill take Briggs, the 31st pick, their 2nd rounder, and maybe their third. Then maybe.
If we trade away the 6th pick, Im skipping the Draft Day party, because obviously the FO doesn't take it seriously. |

Re: NFL Network: Bears' Briggs, 31st Pick for Skins' 6th Pick?
As you guys may have noticed, I tend to think the Skins FO is unnecessarily vilified for a lot of the moves they make. But if this trade goes through like this, I really can't see any way to justify it

I agree on both counts. Yet more ammo for the press and, this time, we'd deserve taking all the fire.
