What is it that convinces people that 'pounding the rock' is the solution to all our offensive problems? Do people still seriously believe that these are the Hogs of 1982? That all they have to do is run the ball 55 times a game regardless of the in-game circumstances? They can't pass block and they can't run block.
Keep this in mind: Before taking Trent Williams, this team hadn't selected an offensive lineman in the first two rounds of the draft since Chris Samuels 12 years ago. Kyle wasn't the one who neglected the line for a dozen seasons. And Shanahan and Allen haven't had enough drafts or draft picks to rectify it.
I'll never understand why the coaches are the ultimate demons in this nightmare.

With Wrecks and Beck a decent passing offense is impossible.
What other choice is left but a good faith effort at a running game?
Perhaps a running game won't work. Perhaps. But the passing game has no hope.
