We already made him the highest paid OT in the league and front-loaded the contract. If Trent didn't want to play under a contract without guaranteed money in the final years, then he shouldn't have signed it in the first place. You know front loaded contracts are standard operating procedure and TW wasn't going to fight for a fully guaranteed contract at the time he signed that, there wasn't the push for it that there is now. And it is a different thing for a team that is trading draft picks to look at the risks associated with bringing a new face into a locker room, than for the Redskins to bring back a team captain who was the face of a rebellion against an unwanted team president and medical staff. If they bring back TW, I doubt he would be anything but the positive team captain he was leading up to the BS with BA.
Hard to lose faith in Rivera over bringing an elite player back into the fold with smiles all around. (depending on the deal it took to get those smiles)
