9-11-11
Anyone else intend on doing this?

Re: 9-11-11
Looks like a great thing to do hope this heat comes down some.

Re: 9-11-11
If I were closer and wouldn't have a 3-week old baby at that time, I'd try the run...3.1 miles should be a breeze even for someone who doesn't run regularly and it's for a noble reason.
You running, Rat? |

Re: 9-11-11
I'm in great shape...ran about that far last winter in 20-degree weather when my timing belt came off. Had to run home to get my other car as my wife waited in the disabled car. :D
Had it towed home and replaced the belt. I wouldn't go into a race without ANY training...I'd start running for it. |
Re: 9-11-11
After a couple rounds of the P90X I still struggled when I started running 9 weeks ago. I can run 3 miles now, probably could have done it 9 weeks ago too if I had to but I wouldn't have called it a breeze.

Re: 9-11-11
I think we're on opposite ends of the spectrum physically...I'm trying to bulk up and you're...not. ;)
|
Re: 9-11-11
Ok so what does bulking up have to do with being able to run 3 miles? If anything that's going to hurt you. Running is all about cardio.

Silly silly boy, you probably go to Planet Fitness as well and have pizza one Monday night a month. You are no match for Super Buster. |

Just saying I'm carrying less weight. :D Anyways...lets get back to the main topic, it's a great cause. |
Re: 9-11-11
You calling people fat?
|
Re: 9-11-11
Too bad we didn't live closer. I'd say let's go for a run sometime.

Anyways...lets get back to the main topic, it's a great cause.[/quote] I wish I had Matty's height! Also you will find most women like tall guys with some weight, it is the whole feeling protected thing vs. some pencil thin little guy who weighs less then them. |
Re: 9-11-11
Damn thread hijacked action
Me a couple friends were planning a trip to New York City (pick up the pace) for 911, but i got a wedding i have to go to. This would have been a great thing to do while there. Are you going RR? |

I'll run up to NY and we'll race. :D I hope you're not taking anything seriously! I, like mredskins, also wish I were as tall as you. So RR, you never answered, are you doing this? Is it something we can sponsor you in or do we just donate directly on the site? |
