It's possible they both broke it within minutes of each other. I'm starting to not even care what Shanny does to be honest. I swear, I just don't care for the guy.
I feel the same way about Shanny. I think he has a history of being a very good coach. Personnel-wise... well, he drafted Maurice Clarett and wet the bed on the McNabb trade, among other debacles. It's funny, we bring in this new regime, get a sense that maybe Snyder has finally learned his lessons, and yet I've felt more distant as fan from the Skins than I ever have in my life. This is the first season where I've actually really laughed at some of our losses rather than getting annoyed or letting it ruin my afternoon. I'm simply unaffected by them this year (I do still crap on them in gameday threads. What can I say? Old habits die hard :) ). |
cam newton!!! :towel: honestly though i wouldn't be pissed if we got him. at this point the way the team is and the low draft pick we will probably have i think we should pull a vinny and go for bpa. when you really think about it we could use a play maker at any single play maker position, rb, wr, qb, saftey, ilb, olb, punter, the list just goes on...
Cam Newton to me is a Tebow, Vince Young hybrid. I'd much rather have the guys that came from a pro system. Plus do we really want another QB from Auburn :D On top of that Cam Newton gives me the creeps. Everytime I see him I'm reminded of Chris Brown |
Oh, and I don't think McNabb will be back. I think we'll be able to deal his contract for a 5th round pick to one of the many teams who needs a passer.
I think Cincinnati would be the favorite right now.
I agree with you on this. I really don't think he's going to be back. It's painfully obvious that the Shanahans don't like the guy and I don't blame them. He's freakin' terrible and Philly knew what they were doing and got over on us. After watching Jackson last night I would think Minnesota might be in on a trade. Maybe... |

I don't think anybody on Dallas' team nor the Redskins give a crap about this "rivalry" as much as the fans do. The rivalry died a long time ago. |

Yeah Matty I don't think it's just draft picks or having a good track record. Let's face it, we've brought in a ton of guys with sterling track records that have been utter failures here. Heck, Vinny Cerrato nailed some really good picks for the Skins. Shanahan just doesn't seem to be on his game for all the dough he's getting. I get the sense that he's disciplined and tough, but not really on his game. There's no other way around it. I think when people try to figure out what's needling Redskins fans, the first thing they say is we're impatient or this guy needs time, etc. Shanahan bought in a bunch of retreads at RB, shuffled the oline all season long, and has been up and down with McNabb. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Really, there hasn't been all that much difference between him and Jim Zorn if you ask me. If you strip away the Super Bowl trophies, no reasonable person could convince me there has been any improvement at all. For $7 mil per year, I expected a little more. Sometimes I just get the feeling that he and Kyle are just tinkering with the team on the fly. |

No shit, people always want to bring the negatives out, the Guy is a damn good coach and he WILL make folks eat their words in WSH. |

Parker didn't make the team and Johnson lasted, what, 3 games? Are Torain and Williams retreads? What else was he supposed to do at RB with the available draft picks and corresponding needs? The O-line was shuffled in part because of injury -- and that's what just about every coaching staff all over the league has to do -- also to give the other guys a shot to see what they have. If he'd have stuck with one group who got run over and couldn't protect all season long, the fans would be up in arms. I have no complaints about what he did with what he had up front. McNabb? Outside of pulling him in Detroit, he has shown remarkable patience despite reports of being disenchanted with his play and lingering injury issues. He came to an organization that had been woefully mismanaged for 11 straight years, an old, overpaid, roster and season after season with depleted draft picks -- and because Shanahan hasn't corrected it in one offseason and 13 games he might not be "on his game"? Seriously? Honestly, what did you expect with a 4-12 team? |

I figured we could lose the first 6 while he's loosening up and maybe win out through the SB.........then do the dynastic thing and repeatedly year after year dominate either NE or Indy for the Championship?? |

Re: Rex Grossman may start this Sunday
Change takes time, honestly 12th your expectations for this year seem a little unreasonable. Shanahan took over a 4-12 team that lacked depth and didn't have a full compliment of draft picks. Add in a limited free agent pool and the task of getting this team turned around in one offseason was a very tall one, and probably a very unlikely one. It's been a frustrating year but we've had some nice wins and some very tough losses. I think the team has been more competitive than some are giving them credit for, especially given the lack of depth and impact players. It's simply too early to be so down on this new regime.
