I totally dig the optimism. Last week was a game where people always like to say "we'll find a way to lose or keep it close, we never blow anyone out", etc.

So to hand out a nice beat down for a change, I say there's nothing wrong with puffing out your chest a bit.

Well of course, because this is the 2013 Skins :bdh:

And of course there's no way we would even be able to dominate the Jags :bdh:

There are certainly more games that the Skins talent level ought to let them win convincingly, but, as I said earlier, this game isn't about those games, or the Jags, or the 2013 Skins, it's about Gruden's team playing it's first true competitor, and seeing if he can get the penalties cleaned up, and keep them physically in shape and mentally focused enough to stay in the game 60 minutes.

Exactly. We are going to find out alot about who we are. And i hope its not who i thought we were.

I agree. Even with Griff on the bench we are hungrier, play better defense, and have better depth than before. I think that this is going to be a fun (if at times heartbreaking) team to watch and we will at least contend for the playoffs.

So not to change the subject in this thread, but the Redskins have worn what I call "Home Uniforms" the first two games with one on the road and last week at home. Are they wearing "Burgundy over Gold pants" this week @ Eagles? Or is it road Whites with Burgundy pants.

Anyone have the scoop on this stuff or the reasons behind the choices? I don't know why I am always interested in the uniform choices, but I am.

Hard for me to see the Redskins winning on the road this week, but I think we start to find out how good our Defense really is this week. PLEASSSE avoid the turnover and I think the Redskins can win this one.

yes i think this is our no. 1 ranked Defenses first real test.

i know its only been 2 games against the likes of fitzpatrick and henne and i am still certain that our secondary will end up being bottom 5 but heading into week 3, its a fact.

Our defense last yr from what i remember looked lost against their hurry up,plus with Sproles they upgraded
I dont think our defense can hang and i see Sproles having another big game

I think the home team gets to choose the uniforms so if the Texans went with a white uni then the Redskins need to wear burgundy.

Replacing Fletcher helps in the speed department, he was targeted heavily last year vs Chip. Plus this is the 3rd go around for Haslett against this offense.

The Pigeons likely will score some points. That said, we have a better pass rush than last year. We won't look as lost when Foles is on his back.

If we can keep the dump offs to the backs in check we could be ok. That's pretty much all Foles has been doing. He hasn't been as effective when trying to go down the field as he was last year.
