Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

Almost every position on this roster is in dire need of long-term players and quality depth. Only exceptions I see are the positions occupied by Kerrigan, Davis, Trent, Jarvis Jenkins and Orakpo.

So, embrace BPA!!!!!

Guys I just don't think this is the year to draft a QB. Next years class will be a lot better.

1. QB
2. RB
3. OL
4. CB
5. LB
6. WR
7. DE

Hard to address this all in one offseason, but you have to try.

I completely agree with those who think that QB should be our first priority.

Forget Luck. There are other teams that are doing a much better job of sucking for Luck than we could ever do. But I think we can still get a good QB in the draft. I like Landry Jones and Matt Barkley is growing on me. We might possibly be able to pick up Flynn as a FA, if the brain trust likes him enough. I honestly feel that we're going to be alright at QB in the not too distant future.

I also agree that the OL should be our second priority. The one thing that I don't agree with others about (and perhaps this is a fine point) is the POV that we need OL depth. That's because I think that we already have OL depth. What we lack is the quality starters we need for our OL.

Trent will be fine. I like Montgomery at C. The others make for decent backups. I thought that Jammal Brown would come on this season in his second year following a major injury but it seems that he lacks the lateral quickness to start at RT. I'd say we need to find a starter at RT and at least one quality G.

My fantasy is that we have an offseason like the Skins had in 1981 when they added Mark May, Joe Jacoby, and Russ Grimm to the OL.

Sucks having still a need for CB, after Carlos leaving and now going to his first probowl. I guess Barnes, PB and Wilson were better options

QB
RT
RG
CB1
ILB

S that can actually get on the field, backup oG, stud WR or RB if available and there's cap room, another DL guy.

I think we'll need to be careful come draft time about QB being our first priority and the difference between that and QB being our only priority. We need to address the position in the draft. But we're still far enough behind other teams where we can't pass up any pro-bowl able body for a mid-1st round quarterback.

yeah i feel like it has to be the right QB, a guy shanny feels 100% good in.

we just cant take a QB to take a QB .. but dang it, at some point we have to fire our weapon here. i really think locker or ponder would have been a skin if they had fallen to us. they didnt, we didnt like gabert . .even though gabert is one handsome looking dude. im secure in my sexuality. he would have made a sizebale impression upon the lady folk of the DMV thats for sure. as an owner you could market and maximize profit.

You got the right. This is one of the poorest qb classes we have ever seen. I don't see not one guy worthy of drafting in the first round. We should wait until 2013.

If Shanahan wants to lose his job he'll wait till 2013. He needs to draft a QB next year, no ifs or buts.

You must not be too familiar with this qb class. There are at least 5 guys that could go in the first round. I think all over them can fit in well with what we do. The truth is it doesn't matter what we do with other parts of our team if we don't address our qb position.

I feel like if we're in a position to land Jones, Barkley, or even Luck, we need to make it happen. We haven't had a franchise QB since Joey Sunshine. Super Bowls aren't won nowadays without one. It's a passing league, and we are desperate for a passer.
