Effing killing me in fantasy right now. Because of that little showboater I need 42 combined points right now from Adrian Peterson and Ahmad Bradshaw to win one of my playoff games.

Alright, we competed against them for 1.5 halves since the 2nd half of the first game was reeeeaaaaallly close to a dud half as well.

We did (with Vick injured for 3 quarters), but they are 5x the organization we are and it's not even close. Young, fast, smart, disciplined, draft well, spend wisely, build from within and focus on the trenches, changed Vick from a disgraced felon to an MVP candidate, raped us on the McNabb trade, the list goes on and on and on.

I know they're the Eagles and we're supposed to hate them, but I really find myself enjoying watching them play this year (aside from the 59 point debacle on MNF).

I was happy to see Jason Campbell have another very nice day. He was smoking with a 127 rating and over 300 yards with a pair of TDs and no picks. Good for him. He's quarterbacking a better team than McNabb is right now.

Oakland definitely has some budding young talent, especially at the skill positions. Ford, Reece, McFadden, Bush are all vital to them on offense. Rolando McClain also gave them immediate impact. Heyward-Bey may not have been worth the 1st rounder, but he does give some sort of threat to nickel corners.

Campbell hasn't been asked to do too much, but he hasn't shat things up badly over there and I'll admit that he has improved some aspects of his game. I think it's quite evident that JaMarcus really was a ton of lead to that team.

Their OL still needs work, but they did hit on Jared Veldheer, who was someone who would have fit here too.

Al Davis may be going senile, but let's give credit where it's due, he's built a better team than we have. They're undefeat in their [suddenly improved] division so far and that's not really easy since San Diego is a quality team.

If the Skins had taken DHB 7th overall, we'd all be blasting that pick.

I was more intent on summarizing the current state of the Raiders as far as I know, and Heyward-Bey current state on the Raiders is a reserve there who could sometimes scare nickel backs. Compared to us, even this epic gaffe results in a better receiver corp than our sorry one, in which our intended #2-demoted-to-#3 was Joey Galloway and now is Roydell Williams...

Unless something's changed, DHB starts opposite Louis Murphy and is the second leading WR on the Raiders with about 20 receptions. Maybe he'll live up to the hype on day, but for being a top 10 pick he's a bust we'd have 5 threads a week about.

Desean Jackson = complete badass. His highlights are amazing. God, wouldnt it be nice to have a playmaker on the offense? Eagles' FO and Reid should win a f*cking award for how they manuever with personel over the last 10 years...draft picks have be solid and their free agency moves have been great. They transition perfectly between good players, deal with the death of a great coach, they take chances...and they still win

He's a badass and a jackass at the same time. Not a fan of the showboating but I'd live with it if he were making plays for the Skins.

It's overblown. A guy wanted an autograph for his nephew. Big deal. The only reason it's causing a stir is because Choice plays for the Cowboys. If I was to give any advice to him, it'd be to ask him in the hallway outside the locker room, or somewhere more private, instead of on the field where there are plenty of cameras bound to notice.

I didnt see the end of the game but I saw the highlight of him falling back into the endzone and I heard he was flagged for excessive celebration, did he do something after he scored or was the flag just for the falling back into the endzone? If it was for just falling back into the endzone that is complete and utter bullshit

Re: Around the NFL (Week 14)

Agree with mooby. There are so many things outside of football, which supersede a loss. Getting your nephew an autograph he wants, shouldn't lead to fans getting upset.

It shouldn't have been a penalty since there's no rule against diving into the endzone.

I heard they called the penalty "going to the ground during a celebration." But since he wasn't in the endzone I don't think it should've been a penalty. Dumb penalty but if the officials see something questionable they will call a penalty every time, and justify it under whatever rule they think is appropriate.

I'm more pissed that even with officials staying in the background of the offense, they keep ignoring blatant holding by offensive tackles. That td pass to Winslow never would've stood if the official had just keep his eyes on the offensive line instead of watching the ball. I mean really? His quote was "I was watching the ball in the air, not the offensive line." MFer that's your f'n job, there's 7 refs and you can bet your sweet ass at least 2 of them are watching the ball in the air and the receiver, and somebody (you) needs to be watching the offensive line, because if one ref sees their tackle with his arm around Orakpo's neck, it would've gotten called. No ref could look at that and call it legal football.

Re: Around the NFL (Week 14)

what about the play with around 2:30 mins left in our game. we did a run play, torain picked up about 5 yards then was stood up by 2-3 buc defenders. one of our o line guys plows into the 3 bucs. the play just ened but no. 20 on the bucs (barber?) then plows his forearm into our down O lineman.

it was clearly a blow/strike to a guy on the ground for no other reason than that bucs player didnt appreciate getting hit like our O line guy did to him.

i thought the refs did a good job of letting both teams play football with the one inconsistent call on ST against sellers. if they are calling holding all day, then ok i dont mind you calling that a hold but to not call holding all day then throw the flag on that? inconsistent. any way that was done by the refs' annoyance of having shanny point out a hold on the image sheet he had in his hand the play before? the head ref walked over then walked away from shanny with a look like he was a baseball ump and shanny was arguing balls and strikes.

Brady's line yesterday in a freakin blizzard with 30 mph winds. 27-40 369 yards and two td's against a pretty good defense. Amazing. And Deion Branch was a bum in Seattle and now he's a legit NFL wr again.
