Re: Election Day Thread 2008
Jesus, get over it. It was a bunch of he said, she said, hearsay the entire campaign of both Obama and McCain. But it's done. It's over.
Time to start dropping the name calling and the finger pointing and start moving on to trying to fix the errors of the past 8 years. |

I think those things were more part of the truth... |

Re: Election Day Thread 2008
Did you guys hear Palin thought Africa was a country? And that she didn't know what countries are in NAFTA? And that a McCain aid called her a hillbilly from Wasilla raiding Neiman Marcus from coast to coast? You can't make this stuff up. And this stuff is coming from her own campaign!
Her selection will go down as one of the historical political goofs. |

I mean, that tells how you right there the biggest problem with the McCain campaign. Not so much Palin's knowledge, or lack thereof but the dissension within the ticket that McCain's aides are coming out with this stuff now. You can't expect to win without harmony in the locker room. |

I also heard her $150k shopping spree was "tens of thousands more" than that initial figure, and there were rumors that she had campaign aids charge stuff for her on their credit cards. If she's the future of that party... all I can say is wow. |
Re: Election Day Thread 2008
Palin will be missed. She revolutionized the fashion industry and how to dress for successes. Also, I want to remind you all that we are still a center right country.

I agree, even if those claims are true why would they come out and say that right after the election? Talk about unity. Some very bitter people. |

And, some live mic Obama:
The debates unnerved both candidates. When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, "I don't consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, 'You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.' So when Brian Williams is asking me about what's a personal thing that you've done [that's green], and I say, you know, 'Well, I planted a bunch of trees.' And he says, 'I'm talking about personal.' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. It's because of something collective'."
|

Hopefully the GOP spends the time between now and 2010 making sure she doesn't run in 2012, and then 2010-2012 actually molding a competitive candidate. |

Yeah pretty much. Seperate yourself from this disaster so you can still find work on the next one. |

No, he didn't. He said he had visited 57 states, and that he had 3 left. There's a big difference between misstating something you know and making ignorant statements. |
