Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Feel free to start one for each game, but if not, let's discuss the over-all pre-season games here. Only 10 more days until the official new era of [insert your favorite future name of choice here] football! Year 0 was hosing the stench off. Full-time job for us. This is year 1, where the actual football games are the only thing that matters.
I doubt Jayden plays much. Or really any assumed locked-in (veteran - non qb) starters do. Who else are you most excited to see? Coleman is probably going to be a common choice, for very valid reasons. I think Sainristil and Newton will be ballers, so I actually don't need to see anything from them, besides health. I'd go with Forbes playing more physical/aggressive and how good Magee can be. Magee has under-the-radar gem written all over him.

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Hopefully we can take a few kickoffs back this year. Nice to get a look at the new rule tonight.

Magee and Hampton. Both 5th round guys with a lot of upside but raw.
If the defensive coaching is as good as we’re all hoping, they’ll get some use out of those guys.

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Magee looks to be a stud already and likely starts. Heard Hampton could be quite good also in the safety role. 2 potential defensive gems taken in later rounds.

I would very much like to see JD play some. Other than that, I'd like to see some players who are battling for a roster spot flash - especially on ST.

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Caleb Williams didn't play at all in game 1. But they also get screwed with 1 extra pre-season game. So that could be irrelevant. I'm totally fine myself with Daniels not playing any snaps in pre-season. He's our best QB.

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
I firmly believe he needs to play some in this preseason. He has to get some reps before the regular season starts. I'd probably go around a quarter in the first 2 games and then decide on the 3rd preseason game. Kingsbury just needs to tell him to not run in the preseason.

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Newton - Is he the replacement for Allen/Payne he's projected to be. I'd love to keep all 3, but we know next contract round that's likely not happening.
Forbes - Is year 1 a distant memory? I really want this kid to be the diamond he could be. DE - Next years draft likely targets at least 1 killer DE, but can 2 of these guys perform well enough to cement a solid pass rush. Not expecting fireworks, but we have to be able to get after the QB. Coleman - it would be so good to see the kid exceed expectations and win the starting job before the end of the year. McCaffrey - He's likely the #1 slot, and if Dotson can step back up, we could have a trio worthy of the 3 Amigo's tag. Better still, if Sinnott is that guy, Fun Bunch 2.0. |

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
Just saw Daniels will play this week against the jets. I'm bummed because that means he probably won't play against New England which is the game I'm going to...

Re: Commanders Pre-Season Game(s) Thread
I forgot to add I'd like to see us come out of the pre-season games with a nailed on #1 kicker we can have faith in. Fed up with kicker being talked so much about on here. 😁

Is the game really at 12 noon Saturday? Who picked that time?
