I knew the Pats were cheaters...

Seems like Bill Belichick better find a new way to win games now that the gig is up. Actually, I guess it's not officially proven that they were cheating but since I really hate the Patriots (envy?) I want to believe it.

Now we know why everyone thinks Belichick is a "genius."

I honestly don't know why the think they have to cheat to win. They probably have the best team in the NFL talent wise.

Re: I knew the Pats were cheaters...

Belichick is a an arrogant, disrespectful introvert who lucked up with a genius QB and f#@ked that up by getting rid of his 1# target. Now, wait until Randy Moss's shit hits the fan and they play the more aggressive teams that will lay the wood on Moss. You will see how ingenious Belichick is. If he has to spy on his pupil's team in order to get an advantage, that speaks volumes about the true nature of some individual who has been called the greatest coach ever and he won 3 Superbowls at least 10 after the real genius of the Redskins did.

I've always disliked Belichick. He definately comes across as an arrogant ass. As a matter of fact, so does Brady. Yes, I just said I have a distaste for two of the NFL's golden boys.

I've been wondering about the green dots on the helmets. It serves to reason that the sticker is needed because somebody was using extra radio receivers in helmets other than the quarterback. This would be a great advantage in the two minute drill or in any no huddle situation. Any thoughts on who might have done something like that?

Hopefully, Belichick will do the right thing and resign. Of course, he won't unless public pressure builds. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Nothing is going to happen. I don't know what kind of evidence they have, but this doesn't strike me as something the NFL is going to crack down on.

Maybe they should, but I just don't see this blowing up.

Re: I knew the Pats were cheaters...

Isn't this exactly what they complained about another team doing last year?

Yup, the Dolphins recorded the audio of the Patriots call at the line.

As I understand it, you can blame Vick for this...sort of. I guess the idea came about last year when the Falcons had both Matt Schaub and Mike Vick on the field at the same time. I believe only the QB can have the radio communication, so when Vick and Schaub are on the field at the same time the refs got confused I guess.

I suppose if we ever put Randle El behind center and lined up JC at tight end for some trick play, this would come into play.

That makes sense. PFT says that the Patriots have been under suspicion in regard to stealing signals before yesterday. Apparently a videotape was confiscated from their sideline and sent to the league for analysis.

This is kind of funny

Quote:
The late Redskins coach George Allen presided over the glory years of NFL espionage. The Cowboys used to rent out the second floor of a local hotel because it stood next to their practice facility, and they were certain Allen's spies were occupying the rooms. Cowboys safety Cliff Harris once told me players were convinced that every helicopter that flew overhead contained a Redskins spy.

And there's also this: Spies like us:
