NFL Hearsay: Early April Draft buzz - NFL News - FOX Sports on MSN

would be nice to have a link for each.. helps clear up when they'll be here, give additional info, etc

Interesting, knew there was interest but didn't realize they were bringing him. Nice

I won't always have a link unfortunately.

Yeah.. I meant when compiling the list, whenever one becomes available.. you catch wind usually a bit before obviously

Never mind it's just interest at this point. I misread the post in the rumors thread.

Re: Redskins Pre-Draft Visits and Private Workouts: 2010 Version

If the past two years meant anything, then:

1) We're going to spend our first pick on someone we bring in for a private workout.
2) we're probably going to draft someone from the positions we look at most.

However, we know Shanahan never even contacted Cutler before drafting him. Given that, thus far our energies have been mostly spent on QBs, I think its possible Shanahan is using misdirection and has no intention of drafting a QB in the first two rounds of the draft. Considering he also has heaped praise on top of several of our linemen, its also likely that he's trying to make other teams think we'll go with a QB with one of our 1st two picks, thereby forcing them to trade up if they want a particular QB.

I have a gut feeling that the interest in mccluster is genuine, though, and we'll be trading down (or up) to get him.

Good points. The thing is though about the Cutler situation and why Shanahan kept it secret was most likely because he knew he would have to trade up but at the same time no was expecting him to take a QB with the recent success of Jake Plummer.

This time around everyone knows that Redskins want a Quarterback so now the strategy is to visit everyone and make everyone wonder who they really want.

There most likely is a misdirection game going on somewhere in all of this but the question is where is it leading.
