Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
Love the depth for sure. Coleman played well but will this guy be better and push Coleman inside? Time will tell!

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
The tackles look a lot better than they did 6 weeks ago.
Protect the franchise. All defense from here out hopefully with one running back.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
Drafting a tackle never crossed my mind but apparently Conerly is a good player so I can't complain. Also, Keim shared this which makes the pick looks better:
Key stat: Over Washington's final seven games, some negative trends emerged. Daniels' sack percentage was 10.4 or higher in three of the last four regular season games; the pressure percentage was 37.5 or greater. For the season, the sack percentage was 6.9 and the pressure percentage was 32.5, so there was a considerable drop. Also, over the final seven games, Washington's running backs averaged 1.76 yards before contact, which ranked 29th during that span. The Commanders needed to improve its line and now have added Conerly in addition to Tunsil this offseason. |

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
I love the pick, DL is a deep class as is RB, and you can never go wrong with a great OL
LT Tunsil LG Coleman C Tyler B. RG Cosmi (When healthy) RT Connelly Jr. Thats a really good group on paper

Can't go wrong with a hogmali.
But South Carolina's safety would have been a fun pick.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
Coleman makes a lot of sense at guard. Connerly shouldn’t have a problem moving to RT.

When Cosmi comes back this has the possibility of being a damn good OL.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
my only concern it him getting used to switching sides, muscle memory, footwork and all that totally shifts. IMO it may take time with him being raw and young but we have to trust the coaches and the off-season program and pre-season to have him somewhat ready for RT at the NFL level/.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT ROUND 1
I've seen the same. I think it will come down to a) how long before Cosmi is back in the line-up and b) which of Coleman and Conerly will work out best at RT, with the other going in as LG. Also with Wylie still here, the RG/RT combo has flexibility until Cosmi is 100%.
I'd still prefer an Edge. Lets hope they have someone lined up for the next pick... |
