Pro Bowl Bound - Samuels, Moss

http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=13826

how the **** does chris cooley make first alternate? all i've been hearing is how cooley led in voting for nfc fullbacks. I'm happy that Moss is going, but i think it's stupid that Marcus Washington isn't, he's having a better season than last year too. I really do not think Samuels deserves to go. He has been dominated by some of the best defensive ends we have faced. Cough Jared Allen Cough.

And what really pisses me off is Michael Vick. He has been horrible this season, yet he makes it to the Pro Bowl? that is complete bullshit, it just shows that some fans don't care about who's actually doing well during the season, if you're a big name having a mediocre season you still have an excellent shot.

griffin wouldn't make it based on the fact that he's been injured part of the season. i do think marcus washington and sean taylor should've been on there.

cooley won the voting, but that only counts as 1/3 of the voting...he didnt win because the coaches and players vote and u know they would want a real fullback in there

The stupid thing is, he'd considered a TE for stats and he leads the NFC in receptions! :frusty:

Re: Pro Bowl Bound - Samuels, Moss

I think that Mark Brunell has fewer INT's than all of the QB's selected to the Pro Bowl, NFC & AFC. He is the reason that Moss is making his first trip. It is clear that the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest when Michael Vick goes after that terrible season.

Cooley probably didn't make it because no one is sure what position he plays because of Joe Gibbs "old school" offense.

I think that Mike Sellers should have at least been a first alternate. He does our dirty work and is no stranger to the endzone. He is the type of player that you appreciate and his roll in an offense is often overlooked.

Our defense doesn't have anyone making the trip because of all the packages that Gregg Williams uses. players don't get as many reps as others in the league.

The Pro Bowl is overrated and we will see how this season turns out with our "under achieving" players.

Re: Pro Bowl Bound - Samuels, Moss

The argument for Vick is that the team is nothing without him and how he does so much with so little to work with. So if that's the reason why he was chosen over someone (Brunell) who statistically is having a much better reason and, unlike Vick, has his team in the playoffs right now then why do Dunn (over Portis) and Crumpler (over Cooley) get Pro Bowl nods as well? I thought Vick was some miracle worker working with scrubs.

And then how does Keith Brooking get the nod over Marcus Washington?! Stupid Falcons.

All I know is both the Redskins and the Falcons had huge games this past Sunday with major playoff implications. One team's "Pro Bowlers" responded with a resounding victory. The other team's folded into the fetal position
