Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
It's draft week baby! May the chains of torment finally be strown off our necks into the pits of hell.
Final mock draft. Can't wait for Thursday. Replace McCarthy with any QB that isn't Caleb Williams if you want to. For some reason, I think they pick McCarthy. But really, I'll support whichever of the 3 they pick.

The PFF draft made me frown. If you're strong on us trading back up, then show it. Feels like what we call a cop out over here. Stand behind your words. Again I'd think CB with the extra 2nd, but picking up their top S I can live with. But for me it goes wrong in Rd 3. G is a no longer a priority but edge and CB are, so they have us leaving one of the best edge guys for the Pats to pick up to pick a guy who may not start. 🤔 |

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
I really don't feel that JJ is worth the #2 pick. Pro style offense, but locks on to guys hard and JH took the ball away from him when it mattered. I'm not sure we've got a team that's going to run for 150+ every week. JJ and penix are trade down QBs to me, though JJ is probably the most ready to play immediately after JD and CW.
In the end it is a crapshoot and I could be wrong, we'll know soon (in 2-3 years). |

@DMRussini · 23m Teams trying to move up for QB and calling Washington are being told they are not moving. Washington’s GM Adam Peters has publicly stated the Commanders feel great about staying at No. 2 and picking their QB.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Whoever it is I'll support the pick. But I'd rather have Maye or Daniels over McCarthy for sure.
https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/sta...84094001172969 Also thought this was very interesting - ESPN producer calculated which positions have the most hits or misses in the first round based on whether the prospect signed a 2nd contract with the team. Statistically first round o-linemen are the safest prospects.

So ready to get this thing going, beyond tired of mock drafts, speculation, top golf drama, etc.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Idk, for me it was a very close race until it was determined Drake Maye can hit a golf ball further. It's the tiny details that truly separate the pros.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
It'll be interesting to see what Harris and Peters mindset is. If they are looking for a quick rebuild with a 3-4 year max window--JD5 it is. If they are looking to take their time and build a potential 10 year dynasty, Drake it is. We'll see how impatient they are....
