Around the NFL training camp/preseason 2024

Hate this

NFL requiring head coaches to do in-game interviews this coming season

Agreed. Let them stay focused on the game.

Cowboys lose pass rusher for the year already to injury:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...on-source-says

Sounds like this loss may be significant with the losses of Armstrong and Fowler.

Never like to see that. Even for the Cowboys. Fingers crossed we avoid these kinds of injuries.

Re: Around the NFL training camp/preseason 2024

Dumb as fuck.

Prepare for more generic horseshit interviews filled with passive aggressiveness from the HC bc they hate being bothered during the game.

"We need to play harder in the second half."

"We made too many mistakes, we gotta tighten up."

"Overall I'm pleased with our effort but we gotta stay ready in the second half."

Re: Around the NFL training camp/preseason 2024

I just hope they don't start interviewing players on the field like they do with MLB on ESPN.

I fucking having the Braves play on national broadcasts for this reason. I'm trying to watch a fucking baseball game here, not a talk-show. ESPN is the worst for games.

And even if they force that shit on us, there should never be a split screen while the game is going on. I don't need to see Bryce Harper to know it's him and listen to him.

This shit grinds my gears so much.

How do you really feel?

Seriously, I’m with you. I hate things that detract from the actual game.

So passionate I left out the most important word "hate".

It's just frustrating that real fans get screwed. But seriously, is there even an outpouring among casual fans for fake interviews during a game? Especially during a football game. The NFL just knows we're all in too deep, and they take advantage.

Panther's rb Penny, former 1st rd pick, retires:

Thought this kid would do more, but the injury bug got him. Interested to see what Canales does with this team with Young.

It’s weird. I seriously don’t know of anyone who finds this appealing - not sure why they do it if no one is interested. I hope Quinn pulls a Coach McGinty and just walks away muttering, “Heart.”

I can only imagine the Bellichik reaction to this. That would actually make for good tv.

I'd have responses recorded on an MP3 player then just select and play the response while standing there stone faced. 😁

Media and advertising execs sit around having conversations about how to attract more people to the telecasts who aren’t that into the sport (those ppl are already watching). Their audience size is never enough. So they add all this superfluous bullshit that just pisses off true fans.

Instead, they should be focusing on the game and explaining things that make audiences understand and appreciate the sport. My wife has been watching baseball with me for 10 years now and she wants to know why the bunt wasn’t on with no outs, not how did the previous batter “feel about that hit” or how many tix the player was able to get for his family.
