Redskins vs SD Super Chargers pre game thread

First I'd like to say great job Summo as always.. Guy is a freak talent but anyways lets get this train rolling in the right direction!!! If we want to make a run it would have to start Sunday vs SD. Anyone still have the faith????

I think we win a great game actually.

31-28

Re: Redskins vs SD Super Chargers pre game thread

These next two games are probably the last "gimmes" on the schedule, considering we almost never play well against the Eagles and we have that weird Mara whammy on us.

Its a home game and the Chargers, while pretty formidable on offense, is defensively, meh.

Whereas the last few games, I didn't expect a win, we should and are completely capable of winning this. Will we? Eh... I'd say yes, but it'll be a squeaker.

That's the problem, if the defense is going to bend then the offense is going to have to keep pace with SD's offense and so far we've shown we can't keep pace with anyone's offense.

Okay, except that freak win against the Bears. So we can't, as a team, keep pace with other teams consistently, from game to game.

Re: Redskins vs SD Super Chargers pre game thread

I think this is a winnable game, but our offense HAS to play better. I like that we're at home, can hopefully build some momentum and put together a good game.

If we have any hope of saving this season, even with Dallas being 4-4 and nothing great... I think we need to win the next three in a row to be in contention down the stretch. SD, @ Min, @ Philly are three winnable games, in my opinion that hopefully can get the ball moving in the right direction. Not that I'm expecting this to happen, I just thing its our best opportunity.

We're hanging on to a ledge over an abyss. If we lose this one, and I think we will, it will be a free fall to the bottom.

At least the folks in St. Louis should be happy with the high 1st Round draft pick they'll be getting from us.

Rivers is on fire, so is Manning and yet our defense managed to stop Manning for three quarters. We can do that with Rivers, our offense just need to play better for the team to win.

Re: Redskins vs SD Super Chargers pre game thread

Rivers is going to have a big game for sure.

D Hall will too.

We win 27-23.

Griffin has to be getting mad. He'll play better when mad.

I also predict he's going to start blowing off Kyle's bad playcalling and changing plays to what he wants to run. They're going to have a big falling out by the end of the year and Dan will be forced to choose his QB over the OC. Kyle won't be back.

His playcalling is not making any sense. We were winning the Denver game by running the ball, eating the clock and getting big plays on D. That was the recipe to win, keep Manning off the field and RUN RUN RUN. So we got a 21-7 lead and what does Kyle do? He abandons the run and we pass the ball like we're losing by 2 TDs...and guess what, we lost. We should have kept running. Alfred was having his way with the Denver D. We should have ate the clock and tried to hold on by not letting Peyton have chances to do what he did to us. Instead, we gamble and throw 4 INTs when the run game was working. Throw in some 3 and outs and a 15-yard punt and Peyton was set up to win without even breaking a sweat.

Thanks, Kyle.

No bones about it, Summo has dug up a way to put an end to the team name controversy: "The Washington Walking Dead"!

The helmet on the right (with a little rotting flesh) will do nicely for the uniform.

Seriously, great work Summo! You're the best!

Re: Redskins vs SD Super Chargers pre game thread

Tough schedule so far this year.

After this week we get the Vikes, Eagles and Giants in the next month (with the 49ers thrown in).

We can start to salvage the season in the next 5 weeks.

KC and SF are the toughest games left...the rest, including Atlanta and Dallas are winnable.

Hey, we get Meriweather back this week!

I'm not expecting a decision on Tanard Jackson this season...the league doesn't want to do anything to help us.

If we win three straight, we could be in first place, or close to it.

The three game streak begins Sunday.

Seems that way. They were sure quick to drop the hammer on Meriweather but want to sit on their hands to reinstate a guy that was eligible to come back weeks ago. (Mind you, Josh Gordon was reinstated right away)

Stay classy, Goodell.
