Signing Winslow

Looks like the Browns might have a hard time signing Winslow. Suckers!

"The Postons also represent St. Louis tackle Orlando Pace, who was franchised by the Rams and is seeking more money. Other Poston clients include New England cornerback Ty Law, San Francisco linebacker Julian Peterson and Washington linebacker LaVar Arrington. All have had contract problems."

Geez, we should avoid these guys' clients like the plague. We need to have an intervention with LA and convince him to switch agents.

As for Winslow, sounds like he'll be getting his.

Man, it's two days after the draft and he is already making all the wrong noises. Thank god Williams talked Gibbs out of taking him.

lebron of football? i'm sorry but basketball is much more of an individual sport than football. and doesn't winslow require someone throwing him the ball for him to be a part of the game?

I said it in another post about the Postons these guys seem to have almost cornered the market on NFL head cases. If they didn't represent Lavar I would say the Skins should have nothing to do with them.

LeBron never held out. LeBron is actually quite modest, he has a certain cockyness, but you need that. Unlike Carmello Anthony, Lebron doesn't think he's the best player in the league.

The reason why LaBron never held out (i think) is their is a certain amount that a rookie can make in the NBA. Of course got the max so their was not anything really to negoiate. As far as endorsements LaBron has some good ones but Im sure he missed out on some too thanks to the Poostons. Also look who has the #1 selling jersey in the NBA. Why it is LaBron. Hopefully he did not listen to his agent on that one.

you cant argue the fact that the Postons get their clients money, they usually get their clients more money then anyone in the league. But because they want the most money they are going to end up causing more problems. Ty Law, Pace, Arrington...all got record contracts. The stuff with Lavar is whats really giving them a bad name. As well as the rumors that Pace got offered like a 35 million dollar signing bonus, is seeking 28 and they turned it down

Im glad Smoot got new agents, he had them up until a few months ago. That will help our negioations with him.

He already got his money through a $100 million shoe deal.

i know this is a bit off topic but when did i miss anthony saying or acting like he thought he was the best player in the league cuz honestly all i've heard about the guy is how mellow(pun intended) he has been all year especially with the constant comparisions to lebron and himself?

All these guys are contract savvy these days. I wouldn't go pissing in the Browns milk until we have Sean Taylor signed.

Yeah. Drew Rosenhaus isn't exactly a friendly pushover. Gibbs publicly complimented him at Taylor's press conference. Guess he's trying to set a friendly tone from the get-go.

All these super agents (Sexton, ROsenhaus, Postons, etc) drive a hard bargain and will play down and dirty to get the most out of NFL teams. THat's how they get paid. But the Postons seem to have taken things to a new level.

I am so sick of this ASSHOLE. Can he go a day without explaining he doesn't want to be a dick, but he has to? The DC press would have eaten this shithead alive.
