Re: Haskins in his own words
Yes a GREAT read. DH passes the eye test for me. He looks like a QB. Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees to name a few look like QB's.

He also majored in journalism, pretty cool stuff. I am rooting for the kid!

Re: Haskins in his own words
I think Haskins will be a good scheme fit for Scott Turner and RR.
We really need his young weapons to mature quickly tho...

Re: Haskins in his own words
I think this should settle any fears of him not understanding what he has to do to improve. He clearly gets it.

Re: Haskins in his own words
This was an insightful read into his thinking. I like hearing how he breaks it down for himself - avoiding the negative plays, don't compound mistakes by trying to be a hero. It shows a guy who is focused on taking each incremental step and layering it. It says he's likely to continue improving.

Exactly. I also like that I read about Turner's use of analytics to help in breaking tendancies in how he calls games. So we have a young, talented, motivated QB ... with a young, up-and-coming, OC whose Daddy is pretty much a legend in the league ... and a Defense that is built with first round talent and has a DC that has proven himself in that position several times in the past. It's hard not to like the direction we're finally pointing to. Say your prayers that our O-Line can find some semblance of competency. Next year could be pretty fun, with zero expectations. It would be great to fuck up Dallas' dreams. |

Re: Haskins in his own words
I like the fact that he acknowledges his mistakes AND the fact that it was frustrating for him that "it wasn't easy".
I think there may have been a little bit of "I'm so good I don't need to work, it's always been easy to win", so it's a great sign that he became aware of it and accepted it was not going to be easy.

Re: Haskins in his own words
Is that you, Bruce Allen? Still fond of injury-prone players, I see.

Re: Haskins in his own words
I have high hopes for Haskins this year and I think he'll surprise people.
Looks like he is taking this offseason seriously. Dude is down to 7% body fat |

Re: Haskins in his own words
Seriously though I heard Sheehan said Haskins already lost 4% body fat last offseason and people were impressed by how big of a difference it made in the way he moved, and now he has lost 4% more, that's a good sign, both from a mobility and motivation/worth ethic sand point.
