I fully expect this thread to turn into every other thread on this forum, but I felt it would be good to have a dedicated thread to discussing immigration.

IMO this isn't about "immigration". It's about the Constitution and a party willing to risk destroying our Democracy to back their golden deity. It's a Constitutional crisis. They are deporting innocent people to hell , trump has said he is willing to deport American citizens , seriously WTF? A president openly defying the Supreme Court is grounds for impeachment regardless of party but does anyone really think anything will happen? He will declare "Marshal Law" and will become King.

This is crazy! Unfortunately, I don't think this method is illegal (correct me if I'm wrong) so the administration is free to do that whether it's right thing to do or not. It's really sad how some people are supporting the idea of destroying people's lives, just to save a few pennies.

As for the part where the administration is openly ignoring SCOTUS' ruling - the ruling is that the administration has to FACILITATE the return of the individual to USA. If El Salvador refuses to release the individual, then there isn't much the administration can do at this point. I'm pretty sure Trump and the El Salvador president made some kind of agreement on the side to make this action impossible but we gotta show evidence of this to prove that the administration is ignoring court's order.

I think it's beyond that, I think they'd like to deport anyone who speaks out against the executive branch. I have no evidence of this but it's not just immigrants they don't like. They don't like anyone who doesn't fall in line.

IMPO I believe the SC is trying to avoid a show down with trump but deporting people without judicial process isn't right. trumps actions are Impeachable but that will never happen. The Dems must do something.

Sadly many being deported are either innocent or have committed minor offense's . trump is a convicted Felon , can we deport him?
