I think so too, with what we've seen so far he's got a burst we didn't see from him last year.

great to see in his second year it looks like he isn't content with being written off.

He's lost some weight it appears, he broke off long runs in college but most guys can do that. I hope he ends up a good back for us

Geron Christian who we graded out as very poor last week was better last night, he still gave up leverage to the inside on a few rushes but I hope to see him improve throughout the PS, lord knows we need the help on the OL.

Hard to tell after one look, but yeah that's what I thought too. Didn't see him get pushed back as much as last week, overall it felt like he was also moving better, more at ease than last week.

Re: Jets Gameday thread

I saw first half of the game and I saw things I like and some things I hope we will resolve by the kickoff. I like what Sims is showing - like Gruden said, he is raw but if he develops well then I can see him playing a big role for Redskins in future. Quinn is developing as well and I can imagine him making some key catches in the season. I suppose Davis getting injured and on IR now is a blessing in disguise as now we keep them all and cut Quick. Quick is a veteran player and obviously he can't develop anymore so might as well move on from him.. I love what our Dline is showing; great efforts by Allen and Payne, and awesome efforts by Settle - with Tomsula, I can see him growing into a key player for Redskins.

I'm disappointed with our running game - Kelley looked like a different player but he runs same. I couldn't tell if Perine is any better since I didn't see first preseason game and he got injured on first run.

Re: Jets Gameday thread

Perine hit that hole hard last night, he took the handoff and was full speed as he passed through the hole. If he has to dance he's stopped dead in his tracks but give him a hole and he looked like he can do damage.

I'm excited to see the impact that all the movement plays Jay has planned for Smith. All that rolling out and read option stuff has a nice impact of freezing linebackers and ends for just a split second. If that helps Perine get to the hole just a little faster, we just might be decent enough at running the ball.

Re: Jets Gameday thread

I saw a GIF of one of our backs making a NASTY fucking portis type cut last night... I didn't see the 2nd half but who was it? #22? The gift was unclear.

Could be #22: Martez Carter. I'm watching the 2nd half right now, he just came into the game.

Re: Jets Gameday thread

Rewatching on DVR and man Rob Kelley just looks.... Bad in general. I don't even know why, looks even more stuttery getting to the hole most plays, vision looks delayed or slow... Showed a few decent looks but nothing too impressive

Re: Jets Gameday thread

On the Jets 2nd drive I like the run D alot, and I really like that stroman I think it was, had the awareness to break off of his man and collapse on the receiver that caught the ball right in front of him. Something that some players easily wouldn't see.... The D looks good. I just can't wait til there is a lot more scheme involved and vlutzes etc. Creativity and adjustments on the coaching side will be a real test IMO to keep improving upon
