Re: Pimp That Product
My father-in-law gave me one ofthose green pans you see on the infomercials. It's amazing, seriously. I was expecting a light-weight thin piece of Chinese crap that wouldn't last past a few uses when I saw them on TV.
In reality, it's a very high-quality, well made, heavy little frying pan. You season it with vegetable oil once before the first use like you would a cast iron skillet. NOTHING sticks. If you would burn something, just run some water on it and give it a flick with the spatula and it's clean. The coating is amazing for cooking. I use it all of the time now and cleanup takes seconds...I run some water into it, add a squirt of dish soap and wipe it out with sponge or sometimes all it needs is a rinse and it's clean. I've used it about 20 times now and it looks brand new, not a scratch or stain. It really is the perfect pan...for just $20. Get one. Seriously. Orgreenic™ 10' Fry Pan - Bed Bath & Beyond The people complaining about sticking must not have prepped it right. Nothing sticks. There's one review saying it scratched with the use of a fork. Well, yeah. You don't use metal in ANY nonstick pan... ![]() I hope they make a bigger one or better yet, a square skillet.

I'll have to give it a try because our non stick stuff is getting a little dated. FYI: If you do not need to use dish soap I would avoid it as it can add an unwanted tast to the food. That's even more important with cast iron stuff. |

Yup and American made. They are probably one of the cheapest ones you can buy in cast iron but they are also one of the best. You can get them at wally world.

Re: Pimp That Product
My wife purchased some Wolfgang Puck pots and pans and they suck. They are so bad I think I would punch him in the face if I ever saw him out in public. Oil and butter stick to them. Funny my wife says its me as I watch her trying to scrape an egg of them. STAY AWAY FROM THESE.

Wow...bad reviews. Tell her to research big purchases in the future.
![]() Other people say everything sticks, they rust immediately, several lids have exploded and the handles heat up along with the pan. Show her these links for a laugh. I call them Wolfgang Stuck. They have held up fine and don't have any rust issues. Everything does stick to them and the handles do heat up as fast as the pan. I given her enough sh!t about them so I guess I'll pile on somemore. |

Re: Pimp That Product
Rib steak thread mentioned bacon. And I recently found and fell in love with bacon from Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams. A buddy of mine introduced me to this awesome bacon, and when my family and I went down to see my Wife's Dad in Tennessee, we stopped by to get some. Then when he came up for Christmas, my present was 20 lbs of this swine-tacular delicacy. It puts any other bacon I've ever had to shame.
Here's a short (9 minute documentary) on Allan Benton and his products: It's a 4 lb minimum on mail order, and they are at 4-6 week turnaround right now, but it's well worth it.
