Based off JD's body language in the second half he should be fine for next week. Just hope he uses this as a learning opportunity to avoid unnecessary hits.

Nice to see Mariota play so well, I was worried initially but once he shook the rust off he played fine.

Also nice to see our defense cause a couple turnovers and put some points on the board.

Also nice to see the team rally around Mariota.

Overall a nice game and also nice to see the team easily beat teams that should be easily beaten. On to the next one.

I was not expecting 40-7. Maybe 31- 20. Only issue was Kingsberry was calling designed runs for Mariota which I thought was pretty dumb considering the circumstances. Other then that, these guys came out and beat the crap out of a really bad team and that's what good teams do. Mariota was really sharp. O-line dominated. This is a good team no doubt.

The O like was good but there were quite a few throws where MM hung in and threw right before the rush arrived. I was impressed by that. O line play has been the biggest surprise for me this season. Any news on Coleman? I think he got a concussion.

Yep, Coleman got a concussion. I think it's safe to assume that he will not play this Sunday.

ordan Schultz
@Schultz_Report
#Commanders rookie QB sensation Jayden Daniels is undergoing tests today to determine the severity of his rib injury, per sources. Initial tests on Sunday showed no fractures, but further tests today and possibly in the coming days will provide more clarity.

Im not a betting man but if i had to wager he is going to miss about 4 games while bruising heals. Broken ribs would take longer so lets hope further testing doesn’t reveal any. I know I am not a doctor lol this is just my prediction for the sake of predictions. Hoping he has youth on his side and super human healing powers. Either way He really needs to slide or head out of bounds when defenders are anywhere near him.

If its just bruised, a cortisone injection can decrease the inflammation and mask the pain. People play through bruised ribs all the time. As long as playing isn't going to worsen the injury he will try to play.

Yep. A cortisone injection will do if it's only bruised ribs. Let's pray it's ONLY bruised ribs and nothing more.

I think he's going to be day to day and it will be a pain tolerance thing for him.

I dont doubt that he is tough enough to play with bruised ribs, I am just thinking that we are going to be extremely cautious with the kid. Overly cautious. Especially considering how Mariota played.

Re: Code Red Trap Game #2 Panthers pre game thread.

I’ve heard Sheehan say some pretty dumb things but I had to rewind this one…The chances of a QB getting hurt in the pocket are equal to him getting hurt running the ball

False and not close.

The rules protecting the QB in the pocket have actually become ridiculous to most fans. It’s been a long road where even the slightest contact in the pocket will draw the flag. This has impacted the defense tremendously. The QB is protected in the pocket.

The league has stated, once the QB tucks it and advances..then he become a runner and he loses those protections

KK can control design runs calls. The big issue with JD coming out was his frame and stupid decisions taking big hits in college.

JD is phenomenal runner and it’s a weapon we should be using…but we need to mitigate the risk folks. It’s smart football
