Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread

Do we have a good offensive line or not? This group is just bi-polar. They were absolutely terrible yesterday. Moses stood out the most. #93 took his lunch money, kicked his dog, and slept with his girl.

Can we rush the passer from outside? Earth to Kerrigan and Smith. We still need an elite rusher. Love Kerrigan, but he is a super high end #2 guy imo.

a Day after and I still cant believe just how bad the offense was executed, the bad game plan and the poor O-line play.

We need to get a Left Guard immediately this offseason. no more excuses

Why the team didn't address this is bizarre.
We have 10M in cap space. We shouldn't have to get a bargain basement player at all positions.

We paid for Richardson and Pryor.
We didn't pay for Garcon and Jackson(NFL Leading WR).

FU Bruce Allen.

They did address it by resigning Arie K and he was going to be the starter. I would say that it was a poor attempt to address the position but they did try.

I was baffled the DAY we signed Lauvao, in all honesty. FA opens up, teams are making moves and the Skins sign.... The Browns LG??

He's lucky the Skins even brought him back cause without our pitiful depth he'd be out of the league right now.

Mind you, we let Spencer Long leave this past free-agency. I understand he got paid but i'd much rather have kept and converted him to LG rather then what we have in Lauvao. The dude is a consistent joke getting put on his ass week-in and week-out.

Now, I'm not one to be negative and I won't overreact to one loss in Week 2...

BUT, I said last week before the Colts game that if this team wants to be considered serious playoff contenders they needed to come out and look sharp. They absolutely could not come out looking flat and lethargic against a banged up colts team. And that's exactly what they did. It almost looked like the Skins didn't even want to be there. Multiple penalties, Fumbles, absolutely ZERO passing game, etc. It was an embarrassment.

Things need to turn around QUICKLY or it's gong to be another LONG season.

So, attendance was somewhere around 57,000+ yesterday. I noticed the stands were barely half full. This is a season home opener, WTF? Florence was nowhere near Maryland, in fact the weather looked to be perfect there yesterday. What is the deal? Are the fans saying they have finally had enough? Is this a sign of things to come, or was this just an exception to the rule?

A lot of people were acting like Florence was going to affect Maryland for some reason.

I’m pretty sure about 10,000 of those were Colts fans judging from the Let’s Go Colts cheers in the 4th.

It is definitely a sign imo. I doubt the hurricane had any impact because most tickets to a home opener would've been sold months ago. Maybe it hurt ticket sales in the last week or two but that is it.

There's just so many ways to keep up with games now people have realized that they don't need to spend money on overpriced tickets, beer, food and parking. Not to mention the hassle of getting into and out of the stadium. Teams aren't reducing seating capacity because people are knocking down the door to get in.

Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread

A day after and seeing what's happening around the league, there are a number of teams that looked good in week 1 and stunk it up in week 2.

I'm not saying all is well, but we're not the only ones. Keep in mind that this is the week that Blake Bortles outplayed Tom Brady and Doug Marone outcoached Bill Belichick.

We're 1-1 and tied with two other teams for 1st place in the NFC East. The team needs to get their shit together and move on to week 3.

We are the only ones who beat the worst team in football during week one, AND let one of thee worst defenses in football absolutely shut us down at home during week two.
Based on what I have seen after two weeks Id say we are drafting real early on day one. Which doesn’t even matter because as long as Allen and Gruden are the football guys round here we are doomed. I seriously dont even give a fuck anymore. Lol. Shit is older than old at this point.

Lauvao is good at pulling in the run game it seems. In pass pro he is just a total waste of space. He can't keep his feet underneath him. It's really embarrassing how bad he can be.
