Jaylen Samuels is a tweener but he's a really interesting prospect. He played literally every skill position, it's insane, they played him all over. I'd be excited to see what Jay could do with him, but he very well may not find a consistent starting role at any position. Still, It'd be worth a later round pick to try to tool around with him.

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts

This is my favorite mock I've done so far. I had to trade around quite a bit in the first 3 rounds to get it done, but I think I was able to address all our needs at the right spot in the draft.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 17 (LAC):**Vea, Vita, DT, Washington (A) (this would make our D line formidable, maybe even rivaling the eagles)
Round 2 Pick 14 (CINN):**Michel, Sony, RB, Georgia (A-) (All around back, everything Gruden would want, and explosive)
Round 3 Pick 5 (NYG):**Ragnow, Frank, C/OG, Arkansas (A) (solid likely day 1 starter at LG who would have a solid line around him to let him develop on the job)
Round 4 Pick 9:**Bates III, Jessie, FS, Wake Forest (A+) (versatile depth for the secondary)
Round 5 Pick 26:**Adeniyi, Olasunkanmi, DE/OLB, Toledo (A) (rotational edge rusher prospect with quickness and bend to fill Gallete void)
Round 6 Pick 14:**Conklin, Tyler, TE, Central Michigan (A+) (solid all around TE depth, can block and catch)
Round 7 Pick 13:**ODaniel, Dorian, OLB, Clemson (A+) (special teams monster, and very good LB in coverage)
Round 7 Pick 23:**Adams, Tony, OG, North Carolina State (A+) (more o line depth)

Edit: maybe a possession receiver would have been more important than TE Conklin

I like your picks... but I guess you're not liking our receivers?

Lol, yeah I think our receiving corps could use a boost. We added Paul Richardson but he's not a #1 receiver. I love Doctson's potential but there are questions about if he'll ever get there. Jamison is our lead dog but he's a slot receiver.

I think Jay does a great job on scheming up the passing game last year and I want him to have the best weapons possible at his area of expertise.

Fair enough. I always have liked Mo Harris, think he'll step up into the Ryan Grant hole, but wouldn't hurt to elevate the talent level. Think we could use the depth more on defense though.

He made some big time plays in 16.

I was never sure why he fell of the radar in 17?

I like the idea of trading down and most of your picks. However, I can not see them picking Sony Michel, he has a history of fumbling.

To each their own. I don't think NFL teams are going to remove Michel from their draft boards because of fumbles. They'll all have a plan to help him fix it.

You may be right, Michel has 9 fumbles in the last 3 years. However, only one lost fumble in 2017.

I like the strategy, keep trading back every position in the first round until you have every single pick in the second round. Make it happen Bruce

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts

Mike Mayock said Michel is a Shady McCoy like runner, someone that can do it all and avoid big hits so they stay healthy for most of their careers. That is rare in today's NFL, Most big time RB's don't make a full season often.
