Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
We definitely have depth, the question is are our starters better than other teams starters? And we'll have to wait and see, but our 2nd and 3rd stringers looked great.
Crawford, glad he's healthy, he'll make the team. I think Armstrong will make the team. Aldrick either makes it, which means no Banks, which I'm perfectly fine with. Or doesn't make it and Banks is probably on the team which is an OSer. Cundiff looked like, ...Cundiff. I'm excited to see this team week 1, but then again we did go 3-1 last preseason then started the season 3-1 and well we all know what happened from there.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I've been pretty happy with the way the Skins have looked during the pre-season. Much happier with the direction the Skins are heading now compared to the past decade.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I'm just going to be hyper-critical for a second and say Banks should have stayed on his feet on his long reception. Didn't see any reason for him to fall down and thought he could have gained more yards and maybe even took it to the house. There.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
We keep 4. They've been reping Royster at FB in practice so they can keep 4 RBs. Helu isn't 100%. Who do we cut? All 4 would get picked up quickly. Even TH coming off the knee injury.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
And again I don't see how we cut Banks. Having that speed and play-making ability is just too valuable.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I'd like to see us keep him, but the numbers game at WR is going to be tough. I won't be surprised either way if we keep him or let him go.

Perhaps the coaching staff has seen enough of other players to believe that they offer a different both consistency and some playmaking ability than Banks. Let's remember, Banks big plays came against a team with bad scrubs. His ability to make plays was last year and against non-scrubs competition this preseason was not so stellar. Essentially, he's a great player for a bad team, but an average player at best for a good team. I like the kid but just don't think he's all that when playing against the big boys. He had his shot last year to be a difference maker and failed. What has he done this preseason that is any different than last year's preseason that would lead you to believe he will do better this regular season as opposed to last? I like the kid, I believe he will be claimed immediately after being cut. I also believe, however, he will have a non-descript season. He is simply not the second coming of Devin Hester.

And before someone flips out and tells me how he caught a 46 yard pass and went for a 43 yard end around, let's all remember this was the fourth and least meaningful preseason game. |

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I think after last night, Banks takes Robinson spot at WR.
WR:Garcon, Hank, Morgan, Moss, Briscoe, Banks Hate to say it, but if we only take 3 RBs, think you gotta cut Hightower, he didnt look close to 100 last week. RB: Royster, Helu, Alfmo

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Banks is going to be a though call. When playing against better players he did not perform. Last night he looked great but was playing against most uys that will not be playing in the NFL come Saturday.
