I do wish we keep the politics out of the sports pages though .. bc it just ends up mirroring the political threads. Sorry to hear Roc |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Considering the facts that it's an experimental injection that's NOT working, any mandate or forcing of anyone to get it is just immoral. Forcing kids to get it without considering reactions and long-term effects is child abuse.
I hope half the league stands up to the politics of mandated injections. I see Ron's obvious personal concerns after surviving cancer, but that still doesn't give anyone the right to force someone to get it if they're not making the decision themselves. Israel. who is always ahead of the curve compared to us and has a more open and honest media than we do...is reporting 84% of new "COVID" cases are in VACCAINATED people. This experimental injection is turning out to be working more like an annual flu vaccine, that sometimes hits the mark and sometimes doesn't...and doesn't actually prevent anyone from still getting the flu...as compared to the advertised promises from politicians that it will all-out PREVENT you from getting "COVID", much like a Small Pox or Polio inoculation. "COVID" is not on par with Small Pox or Polio in severity or behavior, it's no more severe than the regular flu with a 99.7% survival rate. Why all of the deaths then? Because it's new and NO ONE had any resistance built up against it. As time does on, we'll all become more naturally resistant to it, just like ANY OTHER VIRUS. The CDC, the NFL, the media...this constant barrage to get in line and follow orders isn't about concern for health, it's about Government control. Same with masks, they do nothing and in some people cause more harm than benefit, yet no one is allowed to deviate from the marching orders and make the right decision for their own health. It's getting to the point where the Government is allowing your job and livelihood to be taken away if you don't comply. It's pure evil and the lack if history taught in public schools over the past few decades (by design) has allowed the masses to just blindly follow without realizing the end game.

Also the MRNA delivery mechanism for the vaccine isn't new, its been around 25-30 years. In fact MRNA is used in a lot of cancer treatments. |

I also remember folks saying the MRNA style of vaccine was new…unpredictable…and would change DNA…etc. But MRNA research and development been going on for 15-20 years and have come a long way when it comes to vaccinations. We aren’t guinea pigs with MRNA vacs.

If you want to be immature like that in what was an intelligent conversation, here's the rebuttal:

Yeah, I wouldn't say masks do nothing. Masks have been shown to be effective I think. They won't protect you from contracting the virus, but apparently do offer some prevention from spreading the virus if you have it.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
... and this is why we didnt have a covid sports thread for so long.
Impossible to keep it about sports and it just turns into a general political pissing lecture. |

At least it’s better than Extreme….someone actually said we should cut Chase because he hasn’t gotten vaccinated.
