Re: Questions that might effect the DRAFT
But the #13 pick depends on a few things.
1. Who do they plan on releasing before the june 1st deadline? 2. Who do they plan on resigning? 3. Anyone retiring? 4. Do we grab anyone in FA? 5. Can we trade down on draft day? 6. Who is available on the board at #13 if we stay there. If by the end of this season not 1 of these 4 draft picks look like they are the real deal, and Kelly/Thomas/Davis are all quiet this year, I'd fire the whole scouting and player personnel staff (minus Cerrato cause he ain't goin' nowhere) |

Re: Questions that might effect the DRAFT
Mel Kiper has Michael Oher (OT), Brian Cushing (LB), and Alex Mack (C) all falling as late first round picks. I wonder if this continues to be predicted in different mock drafts, should we trade down?

i'd love to trade down, but I don't think we're in a good position....don't think anyone wants to trade up to 13...but i could be wrong

Re: Questions that might effect the DRAFT
In principal I would love to trade down as well. I mean I can't tell you how excited I was last year when we got two second round picks from the Falcons (while my friend who was a Falcons fan, ironically was disapointed). However after the way things turned out I've found myself gun shy to the idea as I feel Vinny does a much better job finding the right guys with higher draft picks then when he tries and goes for quantity. Then again last year was the only year in recent memory where I could argue Vinny's experience with quantitiy.

Re: Questions that might effect the DRAFT
Ball States Nate Davis is from my home town & I have known him since he was a young kid. When he was a freshmen in high school I watched him throwing 70 yard passes to his teammates in practice. Where do you guys see him going in the draft?

Re: Questions that might effect the DRAFT
High. Late first round to anywhere in the second. Worst case, third round.
