Re: Redskins Try Out 18 Players
I mean, what are you disagreeing with?
We're you born in Denver? (I was) Do you spend time there regularly? (I do) Do you have dozens of family, friends and acquaintances there? (I do) Do you talk to Denver fans regularly? (I do)

So you support putting up billboards calling for Tim Tebow to be the starting QB?

But JoeRedskin, for example, gives another opinion...then he's just a homer?

None of my Denver folks miss Tebow in other words. On the other hand some of them are already complaining there's no long term plan at QB with Manning in his twilight, pisses me off.

Re: Redskins Try Out 18 Players
Well, I really don't get much sense of bitterness from them. Shanny is more of an afterthought and how it usually comes up is chiding about how awful he's been in Washington. But that's really the norm outside Skins world, shanny gate last year is still the thing most talked about. And a lot who feel bad for RG.

Re: Redskins Try Out 18 Players
Denver fans hating Shanny would be like Redskin fans hating Joe Gibbs. It amazes me that I only hear this babble from the same two people.

Re: Redskins Try Out 18 Players
Really could care less what Denver fans think of MS. This is a different era, different place, different GM, different owner.
Unless they endured 10 yrs of Cerrato and bad decisions, then they can't talk crap. MS/Allen are 100X better then what we did have. But... They don't get this ship righted soon I can see this being just another HC who has come here and failed cause 5 yrs is the longest Snyder has given anyone. Maybe Gruden then? lol. |

![]() In all seriousness though you're missing the point. Some broncos fans don't think Mike had a lot to do with those SBs. Elway and a lot of the talent was already there, and Elway has since proven to be a much better team builder than Mike and since Elway is doing it in Denver, Mike is more of an afterthought. You can make a good argument Elway never would have won those Lombardis without Mike, mostly because of the running game Mike brought to Denver, but immediately you should realize the offense we see in Washington hardly resembles what Mike did in Denver. That team ran the ball effectively almost every game and used it to set up big plays in the air. Aside from last season, which again looks more and more the result of a gimick offense, Mike hasn't put together a dominant running game here. I think Mike did walk into a perfect situation in Denver. The stars aligned for those two years. Since then, he's been mediocre (the AFC west was pathetic for a lot of mikes tenure in Denver) to flat bad in Washington. Last year th stars aligned such that the division imploded. It's not much better this year and mike has a chance to take advantage of it again, but anyone who says this is a serious team is on serious narcotics.

Re: Redskins Try Out 18 Players
so if this were NE, you'd be the bitter browns fan complaining about how belichick has no idea how to be a head coach and should be fired right?
kraft must feel like an idiot for giving such a has-been a second chance... if only you could have been there to save him from himself, maybe they could have won something by now. |
