Can you imagine what could happen if Andre Ware or any of the Giants D linemen get a blindside hit on Robert? He might be a goner, and then you are stuck with Grossman? Shoot you would be better throwing Gus back there. Gus threw too mant INTs during his stint here, but he knew how to get into the endzone as well. Grossman is just well... plain gross!

If former Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware gets a blindside shot on RGIII this whole organization should be imploded.

It's never too late for Gus, is it, Gus?

I thought I read that both 98 and 31 were OK

Niles Paul has shown me nothing to warrant him replacing Cooley or Paulsen. I hope he is really the TE we are trying to trade, behind the scences.

Alfred Morris Looks great. he gashed the Bears 1st team defense in the start until the line started to falter.

Hopefully Cousins continues to look good and earns the Number 2 spot. I don't want Grossman to see the field this year during the regular season.
I doubt it he has not proven anything.

I dunno about this. Cousins is going to develop into a starter QB and I doubt he's going to be happy playing second fiddle for more than a few years.

Cooley is gone, its pretty evident. Its sad, but Cooley will not be making the team.

This was my first opportunity to watch the Skins this year or RG3 as a Skin at all. No surprises he made some rookie mistakes, but his athleticism was fun to watch. Felt both lines were overmatched in the first couple of drives.

Re: Redskins at Bears Post Game Thoughts

How many YEARS does it take most QBs to learn the NFL? 2-3?

It's RGIII's second pre-season game.

Comments by the D after the game suggest that they we're trying some things, leaving people in tough situations to see how they'd react, etc. Can anyone verify this? I guess the "experiment" failed...

Maybe what we learned from the second half is that we have more depth on the roster than last season?

I am excited to see if Hightower can get some of his mojo back. I am worried that Helu is too fragile for the NFL.

The O-line, obviously, is the biggest concern. Could have used 18 mil more in the offseason there...

(Nothing so nutty as an NFL message board after a preseason game!!! Glad to be a part of the madness!)

Positive Redskins-related thought: I thought LaRon Landry played a pretty good game.

He didn't have his name called at all. He must've been doing something right.

Re: Redskins at Bears Post Game Thoughts

Least sacked QB’s since 69 with at least 2,500 passing attempts
Manning 1 per 31.2 att.
Marino 1 per 31 att
D. Williams 1 per 29.8 att
Rypien 1 per 26.9 att
Two with great olines and two with a quick release and mediocore olines. Id rather have a beefed up oline.

My take on last night is that we looked exactly how we should have been expected to look.. The Bears defense is going to make a lot of teams look bad this year, even with their starting lines healthy. We came in starting 3 backups (Polumbus, Hurt and Gettis) and a dinged up Williams not to mention 2 rookies in the backfield in Griffin and Morris.. Not making excuses at all for the performance but we need perspective about the status of things. We did some things on offense good, but left lots of room for improvement.

On defense, I'm HOPING we were experimenting with some things in coverage, if not then YIKES it's going to be a long season. Cedric Griffin looked S L O W! Not only on the Marshall completion to start the game but on the play on the sidelines as well. I'd rather see Jones or even Barnes (I never thought I'd say that) out there. No Fletcher surely didn't help..

End of the day, it's the preseason, hope Rak and Merriweather are back soon and looking forward to the RG3 home debut.
I was expecting a little better performance from some of the o-linemen, since some of them will probably see a lot action this year. That wasn't the 85 Bears defesne I saw out there.

The secondary is in trouble. Outside of Wilson no one can cover.
