Washington Warpaths. That way Matty can sue Snyder.

If it really comes down to legally being forced to change our name (Good bye 1st Amendment), we should keep the B&G and change to Braves or Warriors. "Braves on the Warpath, Right for old D.C." will still work and it's our original name. Of course, the real racists starting this argument will probably be offended by that name too, so I guess Warriors would be something to sttle for.

But, I will never call the team by the new, "politically-correct" name whatever it is. This team will ALWAYS be the Redskins to me and I'll still cheer for the Redskins vocally.

I still have not accepted the cheesy Wizards name...I still hope the Bullets name returns but that won't happen during this Presidency obviously. Credit to them for ditching those ugly blue and gold uniforms for the new Bullets-esque set, that's how the team should look.
No man. I think you read it wrong or aren't aware of the former Washington baseball team- the Senators. That's why Washington wanted a ball team again and got the nationals.

I was just pointing that the caps and nationals wear blue and red and even with the throwback bullets blue and red, it looks nice being unified with same colors. Just like Pittsburgh pirates, steelers, and bruins. It makes color scheme... Fab-U-Lousssss!!!( with a flamers upward inflection)

I just fear the other gains leverage forces Dan to cut ties and offer $2.5 billion to a new owner who wants to move back to DC or worse LA. The stadium lease runs somewhere from 2020-2025 I think.

The Washington Brave as in home of the Brave. Just drop the S from the original name.

I get you. I said the same thing a while back that it would be nice that if they had to change the name they might as well go all out and change the color scheme also. I too said we should change the color scheme to Red/White/Blue. Similar to what the other 3 DC teams have done, Nats, Caps, and Wiz. I added that they should change the name to something more DC related. We have the Nationals, the Capitals, so why not come us with something? Unfortunately I suggested the Federals, even though I know they were a Semi Pro team. Almost no one liked the idea.

We could use "The Washington Sentinel's".

I like the Federals name actually, but they weren't semi-pro. They were a pro team-USFL.

I guess this would not appeal to anyone.

Thanks, I thought USFL but it didn't look right. However I thought they were Semi pro but high end. Back then I thought they only looked at it as NFL being Pro and USFL being semi pro.

Also, we would have the Federals playing at Fed Ex. Both their symbols are similar.

Come on man. Ya gotta root for the local team. Unless your not local.

If Snyder was smart he's make a change. I'm not a fan of it but, he's all about the money and to force fans to go out and purchase new jerseys with the new name or logo would bring in tons of money. Everyone would want the new gear, new logo, new colors.

Just saying.

I like it. Keeps with the Wizards, Caps and Nats color trend.

Huh. I actually really like that. Both colors and name.

Boy, would I miss the burgundy and gold though. But hey, then all your memorabilia and jerseys become throwbacks and worth a lot more money.

Personally I would be far more disturbed to change the burgundy and gold colors than to change the name. Those colors are strangely sacred for me.

Re: Redskins "Name Change" Volume 10000000

I grew up as s Redskins fan and hope to die as a Redskins fan. I think that older folks grew up rooting for the Redskins up to the early 90's have a different view as the younger fans on the name change. I completely back Dan Snyder!!
