Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Anthony Richardson….”he’s just as explosive as Lamar Jackson” was the common thing said.
Concussion week two running the football Shoulder injury running the football like four weeks later. Didn’t make it a half season. JD takes more shots in a smaller frame. In the big boy league, you need to be a passing QB first to be successful. There is only one Lamar Jax, and he an overrated passer and can’t win in the playoffs. What happened this year in the playoffs again to Lamar? The same ole defense, make him beat you from the pocket and he will lose the game.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Yeah, I don't want a running QB. I don't want to hold my breath every time our QB runs.

2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Daniels uses his legs to set up the pass. Extremely accurate throwing on the run. Would not call him run first. He keeps plays alive and avoids getting crushed in the pocket like say Wentz or Howell for that matter. We improve the blocking in front of him and we don’t have EB throwing 60 times a game. He is a pass first quarterback but he has wheels to keep the play alive. This isn’t RG-3 running the 50 yard dash with his head down and no field vision. Not even close.
A-Rich does not have the accuracy that JD has nor the footwork. He is like an unpolished JD. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
cant wait to see what we do in FA and how it will impact the draft. I would only draft Maye, for many reasons already mentioned about the other 2. Thats IF i was forced to draft a QB at #2. Otherwise im taking ALT and rolling with Howell.
Yes i know, unpopular opinion of the year running consistent haha

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I have no issue with a mobile QB; a guy that can run when he has to, but only does so when its the best option. And he has the brains to look for the pass until there's no option, or spots the right run opportunity. Jackson runs because he doesn't have that passer first brain, Allen runs because he sees the opportunity. Allen's problem is he thinks he's tough enough. It just takes one play... I want a guy like Allen BUT knows how to avoid unnecessary hits.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Statues getting drilled in the pocket is somehow way better than an athletic freak of nature possibly getting hit in the open field. Watch those highlights, J.D. is extremely elusive. I have full confidence in him that he will get used to the speed of the NFL quickly, and adjust his running decisions, as needed. Dude can take it 50 yards to the house. Yeah, I'll take that. McLaurin would do well with him too, as he puts the ball in the perfect spot for the WR to make a play. That's Terry's wheelhouse.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Daniels threw for more yards than Maye too, on almost 100 less attempts. His passing stats are better than Maye in every area. You can be a passing QB and be a great runner when needed. No laws against it.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Agree with all posts above after mine and yeah SD he would make Terry really scary rolling out and chucking the ball IN STRIDE to Terry.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Nice to start my lunch break with a mock draft!
I'm all in for Caleb or Jayden. A mobile QB is a cheat code in today's game and you just can't hit QBs anymore so they don't take the abuse they used to. I'm unusually optimistic today so I'll say this, if the the Commies would've won one more game, we would've been out of the top 5 and probably not in position to get Maye or Daniels. I would've been happy if any of the top 3 QBs dropped to us in that position. I'm glad we have professionals running the team! |
