I didn’t like going for it on 4th downs in the moment, but I’m seeing it completely differently today. This is DQ giving the team a jolt of confidence, cultivating a killer mentality.

Plus against TB and DET too we need TD's, FG's are just as useless as failed 4th down attempts You know who kicks field goals? Teams with good to great defenses Literally our best defense is a long time consuming drive by JD5

I don’t disagree with this. But there’s another part that I think is overlooked. Nearly every running play has the option of 5 holding on to the ball. This creates a moment of hesitation, a moment where the focus is on taking or not taking the handoff. This has obvious overall benefits with Jayden’s legs, but it slows down the initial burst. Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I'd say we need a lightning to his thunder, or a rookie that can deliver both. Obviously it depends on FA, but I'd bring all 4 back and add a fast back in the draft. Let them battle it out.

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I think that's the difference between DQ and DC; on the 1st try I'd have gone for it given the field position and (I think) nagging doubts about Gonzalez. I'd say he'll take the 3 when he thinks the flow of the game demands it. At that point going for it was arguably better than risking a missed FG (7 yard loss) and put the Buccs O deep in their own half. Sometimes forcing an opponent into attempting long drives can be better in the long run than 3 points. I also wonder if they planned to go for it anyway pre-game, on the basis it would tip the D hand on covering 4th downs. I think 2 of the play calls were dubious, but maybe they informed later attempts, not to mention how to play out the last drive. I wouldn't be surprised if DQ and KK went over all those 4th downs at length Monday/Tuesday.

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I have emotionally calmed down from the 4th down assertiveness. I was definitely annoyed when we could've made it 17-16. If he is super assertive on 4th down in the Dan Bowl so be it. I imagine as the team becomes more complete and competitive in future years, he will probably be more judicial about it.
