Hold up now, haven’t you been saying since the Smith trade went down that you thought Colt could have handled the job? |

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
Yes, but I have also said regardless of how Colt plays, good or bad, we have to draft a Qb within the first couple rounds. Colt could lead us to the playoffs and we have a deep playoff run and QB should still be the #1 priority.

But we are stuck with the Smith/McCoy show for at least one more year so let’s hope the best QB gets the job regardless of their pay. |

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
I would suggest taking a good hard look at the secondary....either release or trade Norman...trade Moreau....draft CB Byron Murphy out of Washington....we need a WR too....Mason Foster is in the final year of his contract.....draft ILB Khalil Hodge from Buffalo to replace him....I'm high on the entire D line, Quentin Dunbar, Swearinger, and Zack Brown...Clinton-Dix won't probably be re-signed either...I cut him some slack since he's still learning a new defense....but he's still not doing enough....players who can bite the bullet include Josh Norman, Fabian Moreau, Montae Nicholson, and Preston Smith....

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
I wouldn't cut Norman, but would look to lessen his cap and overall salary...I think he would be willing because he wont make premium money on the market.
I'd do the same with Reed, I think he would be willing as well. We need to get a young QB on the roster, but I don't think we are pressed to spend a 1st round on one unless we really like the guy. I think we should continue to build the running game with Guard, a second TE to replace Davis who provides better blocking. Id give Peterson a chance to re-up on a one year deal and pair him with Guice. Id keep CT and Bibbs...cut Perine and Kelly. But Im firing Bruce Allen for sure...unless this is done, I have zero belief in this franchise. I don't know if Im getting rid of Jay, but Im firing the O Coordinator and bring in a vet OC to run the offense. There should be some decent ones available. |

Which leads to my next point: If true, Jay needs to hire someone to be the main o-coordinator and run the offense. If he stays I would prefer he focus all his time on HC responsibilities. |

I like Richardson, he was the only WR doing anything early on.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
A.J. Brown in the 1st round and Ryan Finley in the 2nd round.
A.J. Brown, Paul Richardson, Trey Quinn, Josh Doctson, and Maurice Harris. I could get down with that.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
If you look at the top teams in the NFL, they all have excellent or premiere QB. The only way we are going to get such a player for the Redskins is to draft him. Draft him in the first round. Going into the second and third round for a QB is not going to do it.
The first thing the Redskins need to do is to fire Bruce Allen. He nor Dan Snyder should not be involved with any personnel decisions, especially if we are going to draft a QB in the first round. The Redskins need to go for it and get the best QB in the draft, that they can. That is the future for this franchise. Hail!

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
Good point. He's on the team next year tho imo, so they'll have to figure STs out.
