Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
thats a close one, but Id role Harvin. He returns kicks, runs the balls and obviously catches the ball. Heard hes had a good camp and the headaches are better (ie Childress is gone)...I like Harvin to have a good year.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Should I go with Sproles, Ryan Matthews, or Reggie Bush.
My other starting RB is Hightower. |

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Bush will probably get the most touches out of that group.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
Pettigrew, Shiancoe to me is a backup TE at this point. He's been out since early August and is only now getting back.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
That Jordy Nelson late round pick for my bench on 3 of my teams probably a good call

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
My wide receivers on one of my three teams absolutely suck (Thanks to the computer picking round 4-5). That said I ended up starting Nelson as my 2d WR (Collie is the first) so I'm damned happy he panned out for at least one week. (Now If I could only get someone to accept Dallas Clark, my bench TE, in a trade for a legit WR).

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
OK, Guys my third and final team drafts tonight (morning for me). And it is a wierd line-up format. Start 1 QB, Flex a QB/RB/WR, 1 RBs, Flex 1 RB/WR, 2 WRs, Flex WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 D and 1 K (11 Starters). My question is should I go QB heavy early or just get the lower tier while stocking up on the RB and WR stars. I have pick 1.3 and am thinking QB but could just get the a Tier 1 RBs and WRs in the first three rounds and suck up lower tier QBs later. Advice welcome.

That being said, if the points don't favor QBs, OR, if other people in your league snatch them up quick, there's no point going after mediocre QB's when top tier RBs are still on the board. I've done very well this year getting a top tier RB, then top tier WR, then one of the last QB's near the top of the pack (Brees, Ryan, Freeman) and going from there. There's a million ways to skin a cat my friend. A lot of it is you being able to play off the other people in your league and how they draft. Good luck.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I've got Sproles too on one of my benches, looks like he's going to be a baller. I can see him racking up a ton of catches in that offense.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football Thread
I love when Fantasy Football gets ugly. A few new people in my work league (which has been running for many years) challenged the commissioner on some rules of course he blew up:
Let me just say – this is not “MY” league. While I have the title of commish, all that entitles me to is paying the 150 bucks 2 months before the draft. I don’t establish rules in a vacuum and i don' t have the pleasure of charing fines every time one of you gets in trouble with the law. Everything is worked with all league members based on a voting basis in an effort to make this reflect the majority’s opinion. The week 1 rule has just been a standing rule in the league for several years. And let’s be clear - I was asked about the transactions policy, after, not during, not before, but after the draft, so not quite sure how that would that affect your draft strategy. Additionally - Hartley came out of a game on Aug 28 with a hip injury, the draft was Aug 30. But since it was not reported by WNST.net, i guess it wasn't news. But to level the playing field – you all now have commissioner rights – feel free to modify the league rules as you see fit –you want week 1 transactions – have at it.
