He just needs a team that doesn't have an endless culture of losing. Put a good team around him and he will shine. He is a future pro-bowler - you can take that to the Banks.

Tom Compton-see you on the practice squad (maybe)

Terrence Austin-leave your keys at the front desk

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

I am betting Austin is picked up by somebody.

So ... if Robinson waived as rumored and Briscoe a lock as you think, that leaves Banks and Armstrong for one slot (if they only keep six). I think Banks made the team.

Getting the feeling they may keep both. Not sure though

As for Austin, told some of you on Monday that the Redskins and Jets were talking about a possible trade for a late round (likely conditional pick). Jets ultimately said no, probably realizing that he was going to be cut this week anyway

Willie Smith, Doug Worthington, and Tom Compton have all been offered spots on the practice squad

After Willie Smith was sent to live with his aunt and uncle in LA, it's a little surprising for Compton to be sent Straight Outta Ashburn..

Lots of faith in Jordan Black and the healthy return of Jamaal Brown.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

Sounding like Markus White will not be making the roster. If that's actually true, that's probably good news for Banks actually

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

Too bad. Kinda liked White. So, Wilson, Jackson the back ups at OLB and 8 LB's instead of 9. Yup ... I bet that's Banks spot.

He's a local DC reporter... generally pretty good.

yeah, Im completely surprised Willie and Compton both were cut. Jordan Black, yikes at our depth. We need to be looking at cuts at the tackle spot. Still cant believe we didnt take a Tackle with that 3rd round pick.
