That’s why I say trade Samuel and gain $10 mil in cap space to sign Curl and Sweat.

They dont need any cap space this year to sign Curl or Sweat, they may actually save cap this year by signing them. If they gave Sweat the same deal as Payne they would save $3m on the cap

However, with Brown entering his third season they need to see what he has got and there are not enough catches for WR4 for him to get enough time to prove himself. For that reason, and that Samuel was brought in for Turners offense, I wouldn't object to saving Samuels salary cap hit, maybe even get a couple of mid to low draft picks in the process

That's cool, although I hope Howell will make plans to practice with McLaurin and Dotson ASAP.

@AdamSchefter
Browns’ free-agent linebacker Anthony Walker, who visited this week with the Commanders, has agreed to return to Cleveland on a one-year contract, per source.

Yawn -- looking at his numbers, I wasn't sure why we were all that interested. to be clear, I know we need LB help. But he seemed like he wouldn't provide much of it.

Nice article by Heinicke. He was a little below average QB for us but I'm sure he will be one of the players I will remember years later, simply because of how the team rallied around him and won some games we should have lost.

Spoken like a true and humble.... human being.

Especially the part where it got rocky towards the end and Rivera lost us the Cleveland game by benching him (my words not his).

Enjoyed his time here, he was fun (and yes painful at times) to watch but overall great to root for and a lightning rod for this team, franchise and city. We won't soon forget, for better or worse, his time here and wish him the best in the ATL.

For us???? He was below average??? For us???? (by saying it that way you would have to compare him only to QBs we've had - so I don't think that would be an accurate statement).
