He must've thought the scab refs were still out there. Gotta start playing smart. Seems like guys are trying to throw away our chances almost every week.

Love PG, but you're right he needs to get his head on straight. The WWE takedown of Barber and the late hit were cheapshots.

That series of penalties snuffed out a nice drive, which I believe was when Skins got bailed out by the 15yd personal foul on Tampa. It came real close to costing the team the game. The coaches are going to have to crack down and get these guys to keep their head straight during the game, since every game thus far has come down to the final play. With the way the team is playing the Skins don't have enough margin to make those types of errors and get away with it.

Everyone wants to cut Cundiff, yet they don't realize that theres no one else out there kicking wise who is % better or has as strong of a leg in kickoffs.

Cundiff is not a good kicker. Kickers that miss 30 and 40 yarders do not last very long.

Like I've said though, it seems that putting the team squarely on a rookies back and barely scraping wins against the worst offense in the NFL and the worst passing defense in the NFL won't cut it for much longer unless some things are seriously addressed, and soon. We play like this in the NFCE games, and we will get completely routed. I'm kinda scared at what the Falcons might do to us next week, but for now, I'll enjoy this nightmare of a win!!!!
Decent analysis, but we really are on the right road to an enjoyable journey.

Not this year but soon.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs Gameday thread

This is not knee jerk at all, but I do want to investigate other kicking options. It was fact that Danny Smith told Gano to kick directionally last year. I have a hard time believing he would do much worse than Cundiff this game. I just wish the Redskins could get the kicking game consistent now. We finally have a punter, time to lock down a kicker.

Skins are better then last year, not a playoff team, not a team that may have a .500 record. RG3 needs more good players, Morris has helped a lot, but the rest of the team layed a huge fart in the second half. Two consecutive mistakes from WR in 4th quarter for example, the slip and missed catches. Just keep trying to build on positives, least RG3 can handle ppressure!

How about we not overreact to a bad day. The guy has been pretty lock down inside 50 for his career. One bad day doesn't prove he sucks.

One of my biggest football pet peeves is when games are entirely decided by kickers. Fortunately today, this one wasn't.

We are 2-2 but we've been every game so far & had a chance to win them.

Got a good laugh, I'm a natural pessimist. But have to agree a victory is sweet especially after these last two brutal losses.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs Gameday thread

If anyone cares, we have had double digit leads in 3 out of the 4 games we have played in, and erased a 17 point deficit in the other.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs Gameday thread

my damn iphone died at the bar and i was really enjoying this thread..........

RG-3 at the end of that game when they showed him on the sideline and he was pumped up - than coming out and engineering that drive....even my friends here in jersey are high on this guy - one of them actually said he is a HOF'er in the making. I love him more every week. Cundiff can have a ride home but we seriously need to take a look at Rackers or Gano again i think........even though they are all not so good. Did appreciate Shannys emotions after the field goal - but ill be damned if I can say he coached a good game today. D-Hall was great for three quarters and DHall for the fourth. And lastly - since I was watching at a local bar with no sound - were there any injuries i should be aware of?
ps - Morgan had a nice game.
