Re: Iggles pre game thread

I am quite worried about this game being a turning point in our season, in a bad way. There is now ton of film on kingsbury, he has a history of late season losses, film on daniels as his production is trending down, higher level of competition on our schedule, key injuries, eagles killed our CBs, poor run defense too. We have been beating bad teams exclusively. Our hype train has a bit of a mirage as our team has been so hopeless and now we have a solid team. Philly is better than us in almost every position group or even. Yes, we may be more competitive, but we certainly aren't more talented. Shut down Terry and keep daniels contained is the name of the game. Not really that hard to do with a very talented team. I would be shocked if we win. It may be hard to watch some of this, but we are all used to getting our butts kicked. I see a pretty big statement game by the eagles resulting in revived superbowl talk. I sure hope I am wrong?

We may lose, but they haven't exactly beaten great teams either. I'm not really a fan of that argument anyway. You can't control the schedule. That said, each team's strength of schedule so far is almost identical (26th & 27th).

I'll give them the leg up because they are home, but I definitely wouldn't be "shocked" if we won. It should be a pretty good matchup, honestly.

What's weird is I see it as being a pretty big statement game too except I think Quinn, Kingsbury, Daniels and Luvu are all going to make a very big statement about who Washington is. Including tonight I expect that Philly may very well lose four of its next six games - us twice, Pitt and Baltimore.

As for late season collapses or late season tape do we remember Philadelphia last year??

Also, I believe the Eagles played a very soft schedule so far. Their losses were against not great teams. We absolutely can win this, but this will be kind of the anti-Steelers game. Great offense, meh defense.

It's interesting to see how some people here are so concerned about this game because of how we played against Eagles last year, it's almost as if we had forgotten that the team this year is literally completely different than last year team..
