Re: Skins Vs 9ers Pre game thread

this game is kind of interesting...Redskins have better QB but 49ers have better defense...although they've been sliced and diced by other teams. Kaep is a one read college offens joke...as bad as the Redskins Defense has been they can still look good against CK I would like to think

I don't see how we win this game. I really don't see our offense doing much against their D.

We'll get to see and hear our next Head Coach, Jon Gruden.

Yeah, just like he did in Tampa Bay with 7 QB's his last year and they all sucked. Sorry to tell you this but Chucky is over rated just like Shanahan.

Stop. Just stop.

Can you show me ANYTHING about his career as a coach that leads you to believe he's good with QBs in any shape, form or fashion?

It's amazing to see how the average person sees a person on TV talking about stuff, and automatically think he's a genius with said topic. SMH

Exactly!!!!!!!! This is where the hype machine melts before the reality. The guy did do a good job with the Raiders, but inherited Dungy's team in Tampa, so him nbeing such a great coach can be debated.

You could say the same thing about Dungy going to Indy. He had Peyton Manning. Gruden got Brad Johnson!

Rich Gannon? Brad Johnson? Gruden may be a little bit of a attention whore, but the guy knows his stuff. Hell he even got to the playoffs with Chris Simms.

Damn right, skinsfan69! Way to defend my boy Jon Gruden!

I'm starting to think we'll never win again, so why not go with an attention whore who has personality?

Jon Gruden would be fun! I love it when he goes into his Chucky act! That's why Dan Snyder should hire him.

Plus, he's a good coach and we might win with him.

He got to the playoffs with one of the best defenses in NFL history and a power running game. I suggest you look at the stats of Brad Johnson during his tenure at Tampa Bay and tell me if you think those are any reflection of a good QB. If you think so, I surely don't want any QB you consider as good.

I'll give you Rich Gannon because he did make all-pro one of the years in Oakland. That said, I think it says a lot that Bill Callahan took the very same team that Gruden coached and got them to the Super Bowl. Footnote: Gannon made MVP under Callihan. So was it the OC that whole time or Gruden?

it's easy to be a good coach when you got a stacked team, which is exactly what Gruden worked with in both locations. Also, who picked those players? We know good and damn well Al made the selections in Oakland and he inherited a stacked team in Tampa. We all saw what happened when McKay left for Atlanta and Chucky and Bruce were making the personnel calls.

That said, he's NOT the answer here. Not even close by a long shot. Also to note, Gruden has never been a QB coach during his coaching career. (unless I've overlooked something) He was mostly a WR coach early on.

Nothing more than hype by the NFL, just how Rob Ryan is a great defensive guru now since he made the Saints D respectable, even though the Cowboys D sucked last year, which led to his canning. Madden sucked Shanahan's dick when he was with Denver, and it obviously was Elway and co. Only guy in the NFL today that lived up to the hype at all was Peyton Manning and even he wasn't all that hyped up, same goes for Drew Brees, and Tom(6th rd) Brady. The hype surrounding RG III was just plain ridiculous and it is going to bite the Skins in the ass when it is all said and done. The kid was set for life before he took one snap for the Skins. In today's world it is all about the benjamins. If players truly cared about winning you wouldn't see such mediocrity on the field every frigging week. The NFL is getting old and boring, in short stale anymore.

Re: Skins Vs 9ers Pre game thread

Win 6 and we in. Lol....this game won't even be close RG3 is going to be on his back all day, we will run the toss play like 5 times for -25 yards and will have over 5 drops by our WR's. Oh and it's a prime time game we will definitely be embarrassed.
