I heard Tanard Jackson is seeking to appeal that.

Smoot, how soon does the NFL notify the team after a player fails a test? Is this something that the team and NFL have been sitting on for a month or more?

See, we should have drafted Burfict #1.

No surprise. He was a great college player, they got a steal.

Pretty soon. But it sounds like denial of appeal may have just happened on Monday. NFL and teams are very tight lipped about this stuff and it's not like players would talk about it so that's why it's usually close to impossible to get inside word on suspensions

Sucks that his "audition game" was against our backup front 7 (who were all pretty solid) and that he got absolutely no help from his offensive line. gl to him

Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread

Here's what was posted from the ESPN blogger for the AFC North:
Undrafted safety Omar Brown is a likely target to return as a member of Baltimore's practice squad. He lacks ideal size for the position (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) but he has a knack for being around the ball. Brown had arguably the best preseason on the team, finishing third with 10 tackles, recording three fumble recoveries, intercepting one pass and recovering an onside kick.

Undersized- I know but he was productive. Safety is the weakest position on the team.

Dallas released ILB Orie Lemon. He's young and I think he could help us.

I doubt we are looking at LB's or WR's right now. O-Linemen and DB's however ...

Not PS. I would put Lemon on the roster of 53. IMO, our ILB backups are not very good.

Keenan Robinson could go to the PS or the Skins could cut one of our many safeties or WR's, for all I care. If he's a better player than one of our other backups at a deep position, then I would sign him.

IMO our stable of ILB's is better than Dallas's. I'm not sure we want Dallas's trash here unless he were put on the PS.
