Re: Redskins General 2020 NFL Draft Thread
I heard Fred Smoot on the radio saying this would never have happened under Shanny or Gibbs and basically blaming Gruden. I was /am confused by that because we are not talking about players we are talking about Snyders underlings.

Re: Redskins General 2020 NFL Thread
I disagree with you, I think the Mann texts were the weakest part of the article. Santos was the worst, 6+ women and 2 reporters all said he was hitting on them. How did he not think that was going to come around and force him out is beyond me. Gershman and Greene were also bad but it seems like Greene was also harassed by Snyder for being a male cheerleader so some slight sympathy is afforded there. Seems like everybody that knew about it did nothing because they didn't want to jeopardize their careers either.

Snyder is in charge. He hires these people. He knew about their conduct and did nothing until he knew it was coming out. He has a history of stepping all over people. If he stays than im gonna have a real hard time rooting for this team.

Re: Redskins General 2020 NFL Thread
Right but that's not the main event. 15+ women alleging harassment is. Only a couple women besides the reporters were even willing to put their name on it. I'm sure the Post wasn't happy about using the Mann story too considering that was open to interpretation of the texts. But when you only have a couple women willing to speak openly about it that's what they had to run with.

Re: Redskins General 2020 NFL Thread
I agree with you guys the Mann text's are the weakest but I think the main point is that he is in a position of leadership on the team and the women were subordinates. I can't speak for your guys organizations but we have annual sexual harassment training we have to complete in mine. The Mann scenario is right in the training program. To me you cannot put yourself in that position ever.

Personally, I refuse to even go out to lunch with the women at work, even in a group. I've been asked and politely declined, citing "Sorry, I have a lot of work to do". 1.) Their word against mine - never goes well for a man with H.R. 2.) Just the appearance of someone that knows me seeing me out with a woman who is not my wife. I'm happily married and 100% faithful. My wife doesn't even care if I would, but I don't.

I guarantee the Redskins probably had something similar. Maybe not a yearly form, but when you sign up I guarantee they make you sign something acknowledging the rules. Specifically for cases like this, they will pull out the form and say "see, Santos/etc. signed the form, it's on them for violating the rules." And if worst comes to worst Dan will say he let Allen run business/football ops and it never was brought to Dan's attention. He's covered.

We will never compete with the likes of the Pats. The Vikings just got a new facility so now I think we have the oldest smallest facility in the league.

Some business side of football news:
@JPFinlayNBCS Big business news for Washington football as Terry Bateman gets named EVP and Chief Marketing Officer. My guess is that means Ron Rivera doesn’t have to answer so many questions on business ops.
