Maybe we will be trying a 4 linemen formation. T, C, T, TE.

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
We didn't resign Settle and released Ioannidis. I don't even know who is the next on the depth chart behind Allen and Payne..
Surprised about Flowers too. |

Do they need that much cap space for 1 player?

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
This team now has massive holes to fill, 2 G’s, T depth, Dline depth, wr -2, mlb, S. More depth on top of that really across the board - TE, Corner, RB. Wow. Carson better be 2017 Carson. We better draft at least 3 day one starters who contribute, and there better be one or two big names coming in free agency or seriously WTF did we just do?

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
IM fine not paying guards 10M plus ... but on the condition we have upper tier tackles and Leno/Lucas/Cosmi are nice players but not upper tier. Cosmi could be that.

JP Finlay
@JPFinlayNBCS · 10m This makes a lot of sense. Been told they have "a plan" after Flowers release John Keim @john_keim · 16m One thing to keep in mind: G Andrew Norwell is a free agent. Still very good. Played for Carolina from 2014-17. Don't know if this is the plan, but clearly something changed with Flowers. To me, you're not making that move if you don't have a plan ... I hope. |

At this point we have neither quality or quantity. It is a recipe for disaster. We could trade back and pick up more “unknowns” which leaves with the same quantity and probably less quality. I mean at the end of the day we are going to have 53 players like everyone else. Idk this is like the massacre of March 16th right now. The probable upgrade (wentz over TH) seemed great, but right now Id gladly have TH, the players we let go, a few key free agent ACQUISITIONS and our picks, take Willis at 11. Does 32 (at the start of the season) year old Bobby Wagner even make this team better if that is the guy we are making room for? Does any free agent signing make this better? |

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
Gs - Wes and Saahdiq. I thought Saahdiq played okay at G in his spot duty last year. Im not worried about finding a starter level guard, there out there to be had for 3-6M per.
TEs - starter in Logan and TE2 in Bates. Sign Ricky or find a TE3. T - leno, cosmi starters with lucas as the swing. Saahdiq can slide to T in worst case scenario. DL depth -- need WR2 -- we got Curtis Samuel who was a dud last year but he should be good to go this year. MLB - need ----------------- Only starter needs we have imo: G MLB ------------- Norwell > Flowers Norwell for less than 10M >>>>> Flowers at 10M |

Lucas is a FA and doesn't look like he wants to come back
