Why not? Female reporters are allowed in there, also me being in the military gay men can openly serve now. In deployed locations overseas they room with straight men and use the same shower facilities as straight men.

People are under this warped perspective that because a gay man likes to have sex with other gay men, that this must jeopardize the hegemonic heterosexual male.

Excuse me, I must go out and rip apart phone books with my bare hands and plow the hottest woman in the room to assert my masculinity!

Well because female reporters are not naked and not after the same part of a man that the gay is after. Thats as nice as I can put it.

As far as the military, that didn't go on in my time. Not openly anyway. And just because it goes on today does not make it right. A strait man should not have to be in a shower with a gay "man" I don't care how much the media is trying to shove it down the throats of the younger generation, its wrong!

The gays should have their own shower an locker facilities. Just as the woman should.

God have mercy on this country...

Historically speaking I don't think any team has had more gay players than the Redskins

This is now how I imagine the redskins locker room.

That's obviously wishful thinking on your part.

Hahaha

Multitalented athletes that spontaneously break out into choreographed song and dance? Sure I'd be comfortable with then representing our city! Why not?

Let's lighten the mood with some classic Greaseman videos:

Re: Gays in the NFL. How Do You Really Feel?

Ok.

You know what makes me sick, the fact that people dehumanize and emasculate men solely because of who they go to bed with at night or who they love. Its none of your business, nor is it mine, its theirs. You know when it does become my business? When stupid people think that the fall of country is due to someone's sexual orientation. My ass. The fall of the country is due to crazy coots thinking that whoever someone loves has any f'ing bearing on anything other than that person's own life.

This country would be a hell of a lot better if people started worrying more about themselves and less about who Joe Schmo is marrying and how that impacts their life. Because it doesn't.

And before anyone calls me out on saying, "Well everyone's entitled to how they feel". Great. They do. Just like I have no problems coming to the defense of my LGBTQ brethren, as I would if someone thought of blacks as threatening the sanctity of America.

Because there was a point of time that we were.

I might end up getting this thread closed because I'm a loud mouthed, bisexual, black woman but you know what. I don't care.

Believe me us strait men don't worry about it or care what you all do among yourselves. But why the need for the coming out announcements and the gay parades ect... If your just gay then just be gay and stop advertising. We don't...

And by you I don't mean you personally just in general.

I figure its just a way of embracing who you are. I've been to Irishfest two years now over in Wisconsin. They also have German fest over there. There's Greekfest in some cities. There's the black family reunion in DC every year. I think Latinos have something here as well.

It's not meant to be an advertisement as much as a call for the community to come together.

No one should have to live their life in the closet. Straight, gay, black, white or otherwise.

I can respect the people who think its wrong, amoral or what have you because no ones personal values are the same as anyone elses and they shouldn't be. But to embrace hate and discrimination...?

It makes me sad.

You don't speak for me. I'm a straight dude and I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality that the idea of there being a gay dude in the locker room with me, or a gay dude coming out (which is a big deal if you were to educate yourself), or gay people going to parades doesn't give me the creeps because IDGAF, and I find your suggestion above incredibly lame and Culliver's marks incredibly offensive.
