A lot of people on a lot of teams don't start right away. I don't know why that's reason to completely write them off as busts.

So do you think we should draft a Stud D lineman?

Or Lamar Woodley from Michigan at MLB?

Either one would be great at # 6.

Pointing out that he didn't start right away is not the same as saying he's a bust.

But by the same token, not seeing any sort of significant playing time until week 15 or 16 is enough reason, in my mind, to raise at least some concerns.

McIntosh looked pretty good on special teams and once he finally got some playing time at the end he looked very athletic. Perhaps he was just slow in picking things up. Who really knows why he wasn't playing, but I do think it's too early to write him off.

I agree with that 100%. I would lean towards signing a FA since Williams' scheme may be too complicated for a rookie to grasp immediately.

How about not having this year's 2nd for the chance to get Rocky McIntosh?
Neither bothers me. I understood the reasoning behind both at the time. The results weren't what we wanted but that is not a function of the decision. If we know something is going to not work and we still make a bad decision then that bothers me. When we can't make right and keep Pierec we KNOW that we are going to lose him. To think we can drop our QBMLB and just up and replace him was foolish on top of simply not doing enough to keep him.

I am HOPING that the reason Rocky played so little is because LB is the most difficult position in GW's defense mentally. I would tend to think S would be too but Taylor starting so much as a rook was also HOPEFULLY simply because of his freakish athleticism demanding he play.

Lots of hoping there. God help us if Rocky blows.

I don't know -- with all the help we need on D, that 3rd round pick sure would have been nice come April. Plus, they already had Ladell and Rock backing up Portis. Then with the word that Gibbs was worried the Eagles would get TJ, it was clear proof that somebody at Redskin Park overreacted in a severe way. That's the problem I have with that mentality -- this team gives away draft picks like fast food restaurants give away Sweet N' Low and creamers. (Great signature by the way, for anyone interested)

A third round pick is gold in this day and age. To fall all over themselves and then totally waste Duckett once they got him had 'bad decision' written all over it from the get-go.

You're a much more forgiving person than I am.
