Sorry for RGIII. He brought this all on himself. If he listened to other to back away from the media and STFU none of this would be happening right now. I think he needed to be humbled a bit because he was getting to big for himself.

Rg3 too uppity? Hmmm I guess that is more important than winning Super Bowls.

Isn't benching him enough? All these BS leaks to slander his name are just uncalled for.

Don't tell me you're buying this obvious smear campaign.

An anonymous source close to the team tells me that Matty is correct.

This was just confirmed by an anonymous source who allegedly is very anonymous.

Re: Feels like doom

I would say yes, it's doom, but hasn't it been that way for two decades now basically? I mean it's the Redskins, this organization is no longer synonymous with winning, integrity, hard work and honor. Quite the opposite. Money, marketing, arrogance, stupidity, drama...can go on and on.

The franchise is doomed and it's not going to get better anytime soon. The arrogance and stupidity starts at the top of course, then throw in a dysfunctional relationship with a has-been head coach (one playoff win in fourteen seasons) his coordinator son that hasn't done anything except tick off everybody in the organization. A young, arrogant QB who wants everything his own way and can't handle adversity. Multiple players that are just picking up paychecks and could care less if they're there or not next season. Again, could go on for a while with this.

Nothing is going to change anytime soon, not under this owner and not if any of the current coaches are brought back. The fans are ticked off and not going to the games. (Watch how many Dallas fans will take over the stadium Sunday) TV ratings are in the dumps. The coaching situation is a comical mess and there is a soap opera drama going on with the owner/coach/star QB. Trades? Free agents? Salary cap? Anyone who thinks the dozen-plus holes on this team are going to be filled this offseason is still chugging the kool-aid.

I mean when has this franchise drafted well or spent money well? Sure there are some occasional hits but 90% of this teams "building" over the last 20 years have been a colossal misfire. People think 18 million will fix this mess? There are teams out there that will have 30, 40 50 million to spend, plus a full slate of draft picks. Teams that are a lot closer to contending than this train wreck. Why do people think good players are going to rush to jump on this dumpster fire?

Doomed is right, but it's really been that way a long time. It's just gone from sad to comically embarrassing, especially for a franchise with the tradition and history this one has. Can anyone see this happening in New York, Chicago, Green Bay, etc?

Sad.

Re: Feels like doom

I doubt that all the things being put out about RG3 are all false. Some of this stuff is true. I don't feel sorry for him at all because it's life as a NFL QB. He's a bit of a diva and it's leaking out. With the attention he gets, if he didn't back it up on the field then this is what happens. Not a huge deal as many QB's are self centered. He needs to cool it a bit w/ being a media whore, which I think he will. He's a smart kid. He's been humbled enough.

Re: Feels like doom

LOL. I read it.

#1- I agree with you 100%. Even believe DS has a major roll in all this.
#2- I too agree we fans put too much stock in RG3 to call him the "Franchise" QB.
#3- I too agree that the only consistent issue through these yrs has been DS.
#4- I think we fans have had too many losing yrs, and dissect everything this team does. HC, Coaching, Players, Scheme, OC, DC, GM, etc. etc.
#5- I think MS will be back, maybe due to cost. However, I think the Cousins experiment
is all about MS showing DS/Allen that its not his scheme and that he can win with Cousins. In order to save his job for one more year.
#6- A major change will need to be made at DC and Special Teams.
#7- With a better DC and scheme to limit other teams from scoring, better Special Teams to keep teams inside the 20, and this scoring machine of an offense (LOL) I think this team could be right back in the play offs next season. < with some added player personnel.

I concur with your sentiment.

I agree the slander stuff is not right but by him putting himself out in the media I feel made him a target for this type of stuff. You don't Luck in the media very often and with all his success you really don't see much of Wilson.
