Totally agree.

Don't forget the long kick he made at the end of the Dallas game. People act as if he's choking on every clutch kick, and that is certainly not the case.

We got rid of Akers and look how his career turned out?
Ask Cowboy fans how they feel about cutting the young Nick Folk, who's now 13/15 on the 5-1 Jets)?
How did the saints do,when they replaced Hartley for 1 game? Didn't work out...luckily for them,he wasn't cut,as he too would have been scooped up and gone!

The only game where you can actually blame him for the Loss,is the texans game in the 30-27 OT loss. And he originally MADE THE KICK from 52 yards. Only to be iced...

I don't know..maybe give the guy a full freakin' season, before cutting him maybe?
He's made big kicks in the G.B. game
Eagles game
Colts game
and the winner for the bears game...

Way too fickle guys...way too fickle...
Sorry but if he made the kick we would have won. He kicked a ball through the goal but he DID NOT MAKE THE KICK.

I'm not going to say that this is the worst thread started (though it would be if we didn't have other knee jerk goofy people posting here) or that it is from the least informed "fan" (we still have the Landry is a bust folks). However, his 75% puts him in good company historically.

Of course, nobody is Gary Anderson (who's only miss all season allowed his team to stay home instead of winning the NFC championship).

Not ready to give up on him yet. Mid season kicking changes rarely produce better results. The skins need to develop a long term kicker and stop the revolving door, they should give this kid the season to see if he can be that guy. At least his kickoffs are good which is important also.

Keep him, besides who are you going to bring in? The ones that are available are so for a reason.

Give the kid a break.

At least he is not an overpaid crybaby not preforming. He is a rookie kicker with a beast foot, he will get better with experience.

Re: Graham Gano has to Go !!

The kick he missed against the bears that went boink did not and would not have cost us the game and here's why

If he makes the kick,we are up 6 and a td beats us anyways by 1 pt,if the bears score a TD.

If the bears drive down the field and tie the game up 17 all..then we go into OT and THAT kick if he gets another shot in OT would decide the game.

The only kick he missed that decided the game, was the Texans miss.

Do you guys remember Suisham?
Seattle ring a bell?
Seattle again ring a bell?

HE should have been cut immediately but was not...(under old administration)

The kid doesn't even have a full 16 game season for evaluation...Lets ride this one out with the kid for now please!

Re: Graham Gano has to Go !!

1. He kicks in a stadium where all kickers only average 67% FGP.

2. He missed a kick in Chicago where the wind swirls and its not like he was wide left, wide right or worse...short.

3. Ever since we left RFK we have not had a so called automatic guy, funny how we did cut This_guy and he went on to become one of the better kickers in the league.

I am not going to place all the blame on Gano when most kickers suck when they play here.

Re: Graham Gano has to Go !!

It was all part of Gano's motivational techniques. He knew that if we were up by 6 our D would defend against a TD and would almost blow it (ie the dallas game), but if he missed and we were up by only three the D would play lights out and shut them down.

All hail Graham Gano, master of motivitational misses!!!

Re: Graham Gano has to Go !!

He is still better than the worst redskins kicker of all time, John Hall. John Hall was absolutley worse than Suishit or anybody else we ever had.

Watching games in 2006, when you'd have a 30 yard attempt, you'd automatically know that Hall would blow it. He was that bad.

Boy SS, I'll be honest, when I read this post I cannot see a single connection between what you wrote and what you were referring to below.

That'd be like me saying DeAngelo Hall is the worst corner of all time, then trying to imply what I'm saying is that the Redskins are having a bad season.

I was unaware of Hall's history of leg injuries prior to researching him, which is when i posted it. Hall had major injuries that really affected him during his time here. he was not as horrible as I implied.
