“4-5 years now. Figured culture would have been the difference.” The culture bullshit is overrated. Ron and multi-time loser GM Martin Meyhew mismanaged this roster from day 1 when they chose Chase Young over solid QB prospects. Then they went on to decimate the Oline moving on from Trent, Schreff and Morgan Moses. Gave the big contract to injury prone Center which will still will be paying on next year. Missed on all free agent Oline players. They ignored LB position, missing on Jamin Davis. Giving a huge contract to a CB who couldn’t play zone. Quan Martin and Mathis literally throw away second round picks which most agree were taking way too high. They have contributed absolutely nothing to this team.

Culture is important, but it's not going to win you football games over talent.

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: #Commanders star DL Jonathan Allen says he “1000 percent” thinks about leaving the team, he told @JunksRadio
He also hinted at being open to a trade. “1000%. I’d be lying if i said I didn’t. I play this game to win and I would love to win here for sure but I want to win first and foremost. So that’s always going to be at the front and center of my mind and everything I’m going to be doing in my career is going to make sure I’ll have an opportunity to win.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Honestly, just trade Allen. He's a good player. But he isn't helping us win. Trade him and get a 3rd/4th rounder. Build around Payne.

I'd be willing to put anyone on the trade block.

Re: Jiffy Lube Post Game Report - Washington v Miami
This 100%! I said it before the trade deadline and was happy they dealt the DEs. If you can get a 2nd for Allen, he's gone...Terry too. As bad as the roster looks on the field right now, it's not that bad...coaching matters folks just look at the Texans this year who were predicted to contend for the worst record in the league this season. Things can turn around quickly with a good offense and an average defense. Others have said it already, but the GM hire will be the most important....hopefully ownership can find the next Bill Polian or Bobby Beathard.

I think the roster is awful. Maybe the worst in the league. That is what happens when an idiot like Rivera gets complete control. There is not a single olineman, db, lb, te, or edge rusher that is worth a shit. Idc what the scheme is you cant fix dumb or slow. |

Me too. There is not one player (payne?) that I deem untouchable. That is an absolutely absurd statement to make in year 4 of what was supposed to be a rebuild. Rivera somehow made that God awful team he inherited worse. He should win an award for such an accomplishment. |
