The problem is Herbert and Tua are both balling, playing at a probowl level and both considered best young QB in the league.

Tau has a headache

Now Herbert is legit but if he had come here he been a bust.

The skins were literally gifted two starting NFL QBs in the 2012 draft and they fawked that up.

Talking about anything to make this franchise better other then DS getting booted is a waste of time.

Yes, but as someone said, the whole Herbert thing is revisionist history. I'm pretty sure everyone here (including me), and a lot in the media, would have KILLED this team for selecting Herbert 2nd overall.

Also, maybe I'm pessimistic, but I don't think Herbert would have developed the same way he did with the Chargers.

This is right. Herbert at 2 was never under consideration. There were questions about him because of the decline in performance his senior year at Oregon. That's why he slid to 7th overall. It was Joe Burrow the lead pipe lock franchise guy and then Tua and Herbert both showed promise but had questions.

The questions around Tua have borne themselves out: can he take NFL level punishment? Definitely had his share of injuries.

And with Herbert he just quieted the questions about his senior year and played like a stud. Face it the Chargers got lucky. There's a major element of luck involved here.

That’s harsh. I think he would have a bigger impact on a good team.
If he was on Buffalo and always playing with the lead, his numbers would jump off the charts.

You aren’t going to get sacks on a 4 win team.

I think It is somewhere in between. It is half him underperforming (he was not good before the injury last year) and half him being stuck on a crap team.

It was suggested that Young was injured earlier in the season and that was limiting him before his ACL issue, certainly the whole D line suffered due to the breakdowns in coverage. With the way the rest of the D-Line is playing right now, when he comes back he should have no real excuses.

Never believed in the hype machine that was behind Young. Good to really good player but not a generation talent that everyone seemed to be throwing around. He simply was never that and never will be that.

When you say generation type of player you are talking about Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Aaron Donald types of players. It wasn't even fair to Young to have that kind of label.

U May add Parsons too, he looks like the next great for 10 years. CY has no pass rush moves, he just uses his size and that don't fly in the NFL

I think Parsons is a great player. Not sure if he is an elite HOF type of player. Time will tell if he gets there.

If he stays healthy and plays like he has so far he is a slam dunk for the hall. He plays at an elite HOF level currently.

Re: Chase Young to reserve/PUP list; out at least first four games

maybe give CY some more time? feels like a bit harsh/early. ACL is an 18month deal anyways, so he'll probably come back and be a bit underwhelming this year. He's not Reggie White, but I think he is a quality player and not a bad pick.

CY doesn't need to be Superman to help this team. I'm looking forward to getting him back.

Looks like we should have Chase Young back hopefully for the Eagles game and definitely by the Texans game, barring any setback.

Thats good news.

Jon Allen does a radio interview w the junkies eveyr tuesday at 9 and said last week that Chase looked great doing drills, couldnt tell which knee was injured and its just a matter of getting into football shape.

Chase Young will be in the HOF nominee or inductee when it is all said and done.
